For those that missed it over the weekend, free agent WR D.J. Hackett is reportedly working out with the Chiefs today.

If he shows anything they'll probably sign him

With all of the reports of WR drops so far I wouldn’t be surprised if he gets signed and one of the WRs gets cut, if nothing else to prove a point about having to be able to catch the football

2009-10 Predictions:
1. Chiefs will win ATLEAST 6 games, which is a big improvement over 6 wins in 2 seasons
2. Succop will bring stability to the K position for the first time in years
3. Chiefs D will atleast double the number of sacks form last season
4. Cassel will be a top 15 QB
5. Todd Haley won't make a poster and jump around holding it up welcoming the Chiefs players to summer camp, I mean TRAINING camp

Personally,

I’d like to see Matt Jones come in for a workout more than any other receiver left on the market. He’s still pretty young, experienced, and hungry to get back to the game and prove he’s a changed man. Also, he’s not going to recieve any discipline from the league that would prevent him from playing for past actions.

He’s the biggest upside reciever left in FA. At worst you have to cut him midseason for screwing up, at best you get a guy who can play for your team for the next 4-5 years.

Not a Pioli-Haley type of character

Matt Jones may high a higer ceiling but as Pioli’s always stressing it’s about the right 53 players. I’d be surprised if they brought Jones in for a look.

I'm not so sure about that

He’s owned up to his mistake and trying to prove he’s changed. However, he’s reported to have had work ethic problems in the past, so bringing him into camp and seeing if he makes it would be the ultimate testament to how much he’s changed. He’s a helluva athlete, and I believe the guy would like to make a change in his lifestyle.

Larry Johnson’s still on the roster isn’t he?

Velly Intellesting

From UWRF

The Chiefs staff held a closed tryout after morning practice today. Media members were not allowed to enter the Ramer Field complex where the tryouts were taking place, but one player was seen passing balls, three players receiving balls and at least two linemen practicing drills. None of the players trying out were in pads. Team security turned away anyone who attempted to watch the tryouts from a distance, obviously trying to keep the identities of the players involved a secret.
Well, I can guess who one of the guys catching is. Who all else did they round up I wonder?

Chiefs go 9-7. LJ makes 1400 yards. DBowe makes 1200 yards. Defense #18.

So you think all the players were trying out?

I could see them needing someone to throw the passes for Hackett
But you don’t need lineman to tryout a WR?

Ryan Succop will Kick Two clutch kicks that will directly affect Said game.

Like I said on the main thread

I bet it was Ingle Martin throwing…he didn’t seem to show up in reports from AM practice except for net toss.

Probably one of our lineman testing someone out too…OL or DL hard to say.
