Two practices are on the slate today at 8:50 AM and 4:30 PM. Mother Nature may have different plans though. Heavy rains fell on campus throughout the late night/early evening. The rain looks like it may be past us for the time being, but the grounds are definitely saturated.
Coach Haley will have to determine whether it is best to proceed with practice as planned or move the morning session indoors. If we are outside, very little wind and overcast/foggy skies may give the players the best training temperatures this camp.

He got squashed by Belcher....
Heres a kid that seems to be doing everything he can to turn heads and really take advantage of his opportunity.

Derrick Johnson back too
Some nice work by grounds guru Andre Bruce to get the fields in good condition this AM. Full pads for the third consecutive AM. Of note: LB Derrick Johnson and T Damion McIntosh return – both are taking first team reps during walk-thrus.

Wow...TE shortage today
9:25 AM – Position drills have begun and it looks as if TEs Sean Ryan and Tom Crabtree will have their work cut out for them. Of the five TEs in camp, Ryan and Crabtree are the only two active this AM (TE Jake O’Connell remains out, Cottam is in the "rehab zone" and TE Tony Curtis remains unseen – he seemed to be going a bit slower at the end of yesterday’s practice). FB Jed Collins has some NFL experience at TE and will likely lend a helping hand with that group today.

Muddy Practice?
Sounds like a good time to practice slogging around in the mud…
You are what your record says you are!
9:53 AM – The Chiefs have a variety of different style runners in their backfield and those styles come to light when the club practices half-line drills (C, G, T, RB, QB, 2 DL, LB). RBs like Larry Johnson and Jackie Battle power their way through holes, while RBs like Jamaal Chalres and Dantrell Savage display impressive speed and agility through the line of scrimmage.
