Notes From Arrowhead

I was at the game vs. Seattle. Here are my notes from the game.

Succop was making kicks from the 50

his kicks are very high arcs

Succop is a big boy for a kicker

Andy Studebaker is stacked

Mike Vrabel and Tamba Hali were drilling with the young LBs and knocking the crap out of them

They had a bunch of guys practice returning kicks. Basically all the backup WRs, RB, and secondary guys, even Leggett.

T. Johnson seems to be a heavy runner, not field fast.

Battle has a beautiful stride. Very smooth runner in the open

Tyson Jackson has a ludicrous wing span

Battle dropped a very short pass from Croyle on a route drill. Haley looked at him like he was an idiot.

Larry Johnson and Tamba Hali led the team in group stretches

Tank Tyler and Warren Moon were the only ones who came over to give autographs(you read that correctly)

Cassel looked like someone just fell on his leg. The crown was suprised when he didnt come back in on the next drive.

Thigpen looked awful. he seemed biased towards the sidelines and missed wide open guys down the middle a number of times.

He threw a pass to Cox, who was wide open in the flats, that was just laughable

Hasselbeck just flat out missed on the Flowers pick six

starting defense looked studly. only issue was soft mid field coverage

LJ was looking very good on the first two drives

Beisel was tackling everything and covering nothing.

Tyson Jackson seemed to be pretty well handling his man

both kickers were missing all over the place. the wind was pretty tame so I dont think that did it.

Hali looked better in coverage than I expected

lots of blown coverage by backup LBs and the starting ILBs

Neither offense really attempted any big dowfield passing.

There was mass confusion when Gut came in at QB. I seemed to be the only one who knew who he was. people kept speculating that Croyle had changed his number.

Gut's passed were pretty lound when caught. definite zip

He looked quite good in general.

his first int was not his fault at all. the WR(Lelie I think) completely goofed the route and the defender made the awkward catch.

Lawrence looked a lot better this game. he made some good moves on people.

Thats about it. hopefully you got something out of this you didnt get out of broadcasat.
