I just remembered we traded next year's 7th rounder to get Jake O'Connell... meaning we had to have giving up at least a 6th rounder for both linemen. Great... now we won't have any late round picks next year.

True
But….Extra 2nd rounder > 6th and 7th rounder. I’m not too worried about this – if either one of these guys pans out, even as a reserve role, then they’d be worth a 6th (or even 5th) rounder.

yeah, i guess it depends on how it pans out
if one of them becomes a starter, i guess it’s worth it.

yep...
plus, don’t rule out the possiblity that Pioli gathers some other picks through trades

S DaJuan Morgan
QB Croyle or Thigpin
DE/LB Turk McBride
CB Colclough or Daniels
We have several guys that might draw interest….

you read my mind
Not sure if anyone will trade for them, or just hope the Chiefs cut them…
but, I’m hopeful that they’ll get back at least one draft pick from one of those guys

Could be a conditional pick or a la Belichek...

I'd rather have that extra 2nd round pick
than 10 7th round picks.
