Waiting for the pick
I wonder how many people voting “Yes” would want to change their vote if it was reported as a 1st round pick.
Content to wait and see.
Yeah
I just realized it’s kind of a stupid poll.

Currently 57% don't care what the pick is.

If it were a first day pick ...
… I think there’d be a lot of people wanting to to change their votes.
We have enough confidence in Pioli
that we realize he’s not making the trade for anything on the first day or even early second day. To me, if its a fifth rounder or later, I say its fine and I sincerely doubt he would give anything higher than that up for anything other than a sure bet.
For justice we must go to Don Pioli
Have to wait on the draft pick
I’d imagine it would be conditional. Which if these guys pan out then save for first round I don’t care how high the pick is.

I say yes... as long as it's not higher than a 5th
"I doubt anyone will miss Connor Barth except UCrawford"
the LB corps may become the biggest strength of the Chiefs in 2009
Cool with 5th if one turns into a starter
and cool with a 4th if both end up starting, maybe even a 3rd if they play RG RT
I'm curious to where we will place these guys
Will it be C and RG? Or RG and RT?

Gawd please make one step up and play Center
Braccae illae virides cum subucula rosea et tunica Caledonia-quam elenganter concinnatur!
I think Rudy would be alright ...
It it weren’t for the guys next to him on the right side. I think if you shore up that side, Rudy starts looking a lot better.
I sure hope something improve
He looked pretty bad to me
Braccae illae virides cum subucula rosea et tunica Caledonia-quam elenganter concinnatur!
Agreed, Rudy doesn't look good at C
I thought Rudy was a big upgrade at RG when he replaced Welborn, but that’s not saying much I guess.
2009-10 Predictions:
1. Chiefs will win ATLEAST 6 games, which is a big improvement over 6 wins in 2 seasons
2. Succop will bring stability to the K position for the first time in years
3. Chiefs D will atleast double the number of sacks form last season
4. Cassel will be a top 15 QB
5. Todd Haley won't make a poster and jump around holding it up welcoming the Chiefs players to summer camp, I mean TRAINING camp
me too!!!
I’m sure they won’t say too much to the media… we’ll just have to watch the news coming out of practice.
I’m not even sure where I hope they play.
Maybe they take my advice and cut McIntosh, keeping Ikechuku Ndukwe and Barry Richardson as the RT.
Then, maybe Goff gets cut, and Andy Alleman and Colin Brown are the RG ?
that’d make the line much younger… not sure if it’d be better or not.
Otherwise, maybe Guycheck gets cut, and one of them plays C
will be interesting to see for sure!

Could care less what the pick is
as long as these guys are better than what we have starting now.

I bet it's the latter.
Pioli was pretty quick to sign Niswanger earlier this year. I think he believes he can do the job with some more time/coaching.
Tender
Webb was just offered a Tender… He didnt sign a long term deal. Most of the time new GM’s give out as many tenders a possible so they can see first hand what a player is like.

Why'd we trade for these guys
if they were going to probably get cut?

Cut
If they get cut then they can sign anywhere and could get a better market money wise…

On the Dolphins Depth Chart Ndukwe was listed as the back up RT at last!
So perhaps there he could also fit for the Chiefs?! Hope so….
Moved
He was being tried at RT after playing G last year. It will be a new position for him…

Rotoworld
Here is what Rotoworld had to say
Chiefs acquired OGs Ikechuku Ndukwe and Andy Alleman from the Dolphins in exchange for an undisclosed draft pick in 2010.
It must have been an interesting Sunday night dinner for Bill Parcells and his son-in-law, Chiefs GM Scott Pioli. Ndukwe could start at right guard for the Chiefs, and Alleman may be pushed to center where he’d be an upgrade on Rudy Niswanger and Eric Ghiaciuc.

That
actually makes the most sense. Goff was absolutely horrid. Watched that game three times now. Wouldn’t be surprised if he was dropped.
Middle out!
Of course we will have to wait & see but it sure sounds like we improved the whole right side of the O-line from the C – RT with this trade; so I don’t think it matters which draft choice (no doubt it’s performance based) we give up because I see no one player in the next draft that would be worth 2 players that play any significant amount of time!
The concept of blue collar players
Reigns supreme over pioli’s moves. Alleman is blue collar, Goff was blue collar, Tyson Jackson is blue collar, matt cassel is blue collar….all extremely hard working guys.
Blue collar mentality was the corp of the patriots in their prime….bruschi, brady, troy brown, rodney harrison, all rejects from other teams that work hard together as a unit.
true
Add Mike Vrabel, Monty Beisel, Alex Magee, Colin Brown and Zack Thomas to that list
"I doubt anyone will miss Connor Barth except UCrawford"
the LB corps may become the biggest strength of the Chiefs in 2009
Uh
Teddi Bruschi, Tom Brady, and Troy Brown were all drafted by the Patriots, they didn’t play for any other team.
nobody said anything about draft vs playing for another team
it’s all about blue collar guys, however they were acquired
"I doubt anyone will miss Connor Barth except UCrawford"
the LB corps may become the biggest strength of the Chiefs in 2009
oh, now I see...
I didn’t read the “rejects” comment.
sorry

curious what you mean by "all rejects from other teams"?
Harrison is the only person in that list that spent any time with a team other than New England. Just wondering what you mean by that.
i believe now,
that he is saying these guys PLUS the other people on the team that were. Corry Dillon is one i can remember off the top of my head. Then Welker and Moss later…i think thats what he is going for.
Good players get cut/traded all the time in the NFL...
We have had our share of “rejects” over the years who have turned out to be very good players for us. IE: Willie Roaf, Trent Green, Priest Holmes Etc.
Granted all those guys were starters on their prospective teams but, it worked out pretty well.
I can’t wait to see if these guys can play. can’t be any worse than what we have currently, thats for sure.
