Is Dwayne Bowe going to take his college number (80) back now that Jeff Webb has been released?

Quick, someone open a @dbowe80 account on twitter
Maybe he’ll buy it from you.

personally
I REALLY hope so…82…dont get me wrong, good number, but im just starting to get past the dante hall 82 concept…so switching to 80 would be awesome since I dont think of Jeff Webb…Not at all
Correct me if I'm wrong
I’m pretty sure I saw a picture floating around on here a while back of Bowe showing off a freshly tattooed arm with 82 inscribed on it.

I just have to say ...
I’ve always thought that was a horrible looking tattoo. It’s not that the concept is bad, but the execution really lacks something. It’d like he just doodled some bubble-letters on a piece of paper (and not particularly well) and then walked into a shop and said, “Here. Put this on my arm.”
true
but he also has an 80 on him somewhere, i remember him saying that.
Can you just change numbers?
I remember Chad Johnson had trouble changing his name to Ochocinco because of the amount of Reebok’s official Jersey’s floating around.

Yeah,
I’m pretty sure you can, I think Johnson’s was more of a “If you’re going to change your name and be stupid so we have to put something stupid on your jersey, you can go ahead and pay for them.”
Herm Edwards: "There's FOUR quarters in football?!"
I think that you're right.
Ochocinco had the same issue as a Bengals LB, I think, where you can’t change because jerseys are already made. Unless the player wants to go out and buy ALL the jerseys.

Twittering my every move. Don't act like you're not even slightly interested.
I think it would be dumb
and I don’t know if the league, team, or Reebok would make him do the Chad ‘Ochocinco’ thing and pay for all the jerseys in production and on the shelves.
Anyway, it’s just a number. I havne’t thought about Dante Hall for quite some time, and don’t associate the # with him anymore.

I'd be pissed because
I wouldn’t want to have to buy another d-bowe jersey
I just bought mine last week!
This will be a kick to the balls for all Bowe jersey wearers. Even though it is red.
Third stringer!
You bought a jersey of a third-stringer last week? What are you thinking? This Bowe kid might not even make the team. Apparently, Haley’s message isn’t getting through to you!

He was first string when I bought it, I swear!
The shipment from China takes a good week or two.
Excuses, excuses...
Looks like you owe me a lap to the fence… If you want to be a fan of this organization, you need to avoid these mental mistakes. I don’t care if you are one of the best fans. We are only looking for the right set of fans for this team. Fans who buy jerseys of third strings are not going to help us win championships.

A friend of mine
has a Tory Holt #88 Rams jersey from his rookie year.. He changed to 81 in 2002.. so in essence if Bowe changes his number I guess the #82s become retro unis?
I remember
That Bowe tried to buy #80 from Webb abd he refused. I have been saying all summer that he would take it back and it was not a matter of if, but when. Now I guess we will have to see. This is the specific reason I have waited to buy one.
I think now is a bad time for Bowe to ask for something as insignificent as a number change
Bowe: Hey coach, can I change my jersey number?
Haley: Why don’t you shut the fuck up and learn how to catch the goddamn ball…Get the hell out of my office.
