Chiefs sign Ashley Lelie, release Jeff Webb

Had to see something like this coming, espesically after Saturdays dismal WR play. I think Lelie brings the ability to strecth the field with straight forward speed that Bowe just doesn't have. This will hopefully pose problems in coverage for other teams. Jeff Webb, goes without saying as one or herms guys he was bound to be headed out of town anyhow. Ex-donkeys aren't my favorite breed, but hey..whatever it takes to win. Hopefully we will see a starting WR Corps of Bowe, Lelie, Bradley and however else things shake out. Didin't take haley long to see his WR Corps hasn't got much depth which we have discussed here regularly. So do you think Lelie helps out the Chiefs??

so we got rid of webb just to get another webb
i have to see this guy couldent make teams to save his life these last couple years maybe he needs a kick in the pants by haley to step up his game. guess we will have to see.

He said he hurt a calf one year and didn’t get a chance to get into the offense and the other year they brought him in so late he never got in the flow. Hopefully we got him in here in time to learn what he needs to work in. Haley said he brings something the other guys don’t which is great top end speed. We’ll have to see.
Chiefs go 9-7. LJ makes 1400 yards. DBowe makes 1200 yards. Defense #18.

But also you can’t bag on him just for being a ex-donkey….Remember Eddy Kennison?

i know lelie play
he is fast but that it he is inconist he is better than webb u need more o-line through cause when the chiefs were at their peak they had a great o-line
okay i have cereal palsy arhrtis and chronic fatiue as well i have a grea life loveing folks some days are better that other days i got a make a wish in 2001 saw my favorive team the broncos was the trip of the lifetime i wish everyone couild gotten to enjoy that with me i know some of u hate the broncos and that ok but i bleed organ and bule

you could see it on his face during Sat. night’s game. He looked liked he was ready to give up.

We throw terms like "scrub" around pretty loosely.
If Webb came into the room, or joined a pick-up game, he’d be a star. It’s amazing to me, the difference between starter and unemployed, at that level.
No question. Otis Taylor should be in the Hall of Fame.
