Getting a Chiefs Camp Bike

During my day at camp yesterday, I was downtown River Falls and stumbled into the bike shop that rents, then sells the Chiefs' bikes at camp.  Since I read a couple comments about people wanting one, I thought I'd tell anyone who is interested how to get it done.

Just contact The Route Bike Shop in River Falls.  (715)-425-8684  Adam Schmidt, President, would be the best person.  The cost is $250 for the bike.  Shipping within the United States runs $50-$100.  They still have some for sale.  And no, I don't get a cut.  Question... Would you rather have one that was not rented out or one that lets say Tank rode around for a couple weeks?  Hmm...

With Tank

That bike might have turned into a low-rider. Though that would be cool.

good question

That rings a bell with me, too. But I didn’t see anything about it, Sir Eccles. Perhaps in the past? Or with a single bike? The bike shop people are doing the inventory, rental and sales system purely as a business venture as fas as I can tell. (Nothing wrong with that, imo.) It’s a River Falls business, so who knows what will happen with the idea of player bike rentals at St. Jo. Maybe they won’t take a team bus and players can just haul their own bikes up there if they want?

I think I recall it from the “hard Knocks” show a couple years back. May have been just that one time.

Guys I have to share something with you

I was able to go and visit Lambeau Field last week and that is where the Packers hold training camp. One of the neat things we saw at the end of the afternoon practice was a tradition started back with Vince Lombardi.
The neighborhood children can ride their bikes to the field and then let the players ride them from the practice field back to the locker room. The kids get to carry their helmet and/or their shoulder pads. It was a neat sight watching this take place and the kids felt so involved. I took pictures of most of the guys. It’s a nice tradition that still plays out to this day.
I couldn’t make it to River Falls because we were on the East side of the State picking up our newest Fire Engine at Pierce in Appleton. It killed me being that close, yet so far from the Chiefs site.

This is actually a pretty good deal

These bikes are usualy starting at around $329.99 and they have only been ridden for a couple weeks, plus ridden by your favorite players and they include a Chiefs decal!
