During pre-practice warm-ups some of the offensive players broke into song. It only lasted a few seconds, but it seemed to improve the mood of the players. A few minutes later, a kid came running back to where his parents were sitting yelling, "I got (running back) Larry Johnson’s gloves!" Some of the players turned when they heard and started smiling.

if yall read the practice summary it says “larry johnson fumbled the ball and without being told took his jog to the fence and jogged back”
The early toughness has players doing things without being told.
Not a huge deal, but a good sign. And yet another sign that LJ’s with the program. But the fumble wasn’t good to hear.
No question. Otis Taylor should be in the Hall of Fame.
we will see what happens i really hope this guy takes control of his actions
and blows up on the field . that would make me so happy.
FOUR F'S FIND UM FEEL UM FUGUM FORGET UM.
Turning 30...
Its kind of crazy that it has taken Larry this long to turn the “maturity hump”. Of course, other then to reporters, he has always been once of the nicer players at camp.
A couple of things
If they say “Cornerback Dajuan Morgan” one more time. J//K, but should I think that he is getting a look at CB instead of Safety? Also, I think Ron Edwards might be poised to have a pretty good season. Currently beating out Tank, who I had pegged as the starter, and from camp reports has seemed to be a handful for these guys. I love contributions from guys we didn’t expect much from. Go Big Ron!
Most of the reports were Tank blowing up the middle
But Goff singled Edwards out as somebody doing all the right things. I think they’re both pretty good. Kind reports of Dorsey last season notwithstanding, I seem to recall both these guys drawing more than their share of doubleteams last season.
No question. Otis Taylor should be in the Hall of Fame.
speaking of dorsey...
Did anybody else see the report on the chiefs on espn news today? I can’t remember the so called “analyst” name but he all but called dorsey a bust. He said dorsey was non existant last year. If I remember right. He was double teamed a lot but still had decent stats as a rookie. Oh and they said K.C.’S fantasy sleeper is not mark bradley. Its bobby engram. Just throwing that out there

Today's report had Edwards man-handling the rooks
So, as usual, I shouldn’t read too much into it. But, Edwards is an experienced vet, with a big frame, and if him and Tank can effectively share reps, they both could be disruptive inside this season. Last year, Gunther was scared to death to sub the D line much. I believe we will see Clancy moving guys in and out.
I would put Tank in the same category as Bowe right now. More talented, younger, with more upside, but lacks the consistency and mental concentration that Haley is expecting.
Yeah, but who missed the blitz pickup.
Safety Jon McGraw came away with an interception off quarterback Tyler Thigpen during the blitz pick-up 11-on-11 drill. Thigpen had pressure in his face immediately and was forced to unload the ball quickly.
No question. Otis Taylor should be in the Hall of Fame.
Another crumb for Thigpen and one for Taurus
Threw the deep ball and hit TJ in stride.
Thigpen and Johnson could be a good pair, because Thigpen can extend plays and it’s those extended plays where Johnson makes his hay.
No question. Otis Taylor should be in the Hall of Fame.
Right
That’s a good point. Although, to be honest, I don’t see TJ seeing a ton of time, even if he makes the team. Haven’t heard his name much.

I don't remember
Hearing much about Johnson since Haley was on his ass asking him if he wanted to be sitting at home eating potato chips or something like that.
Chiefs go 9-7. LJ makes 1400 yards. DBowe makes 1200 yards. Defense #18.
TJ (more thoughts from my day at camp)
It looks like TJ is still recovering from the effects of getting into camp late. He’s putting in extra time (his request or the coach’s – I don’t know) to work on finer points and even know assignments, it appears. Judging by the one-on-one drils, I’d say he’s going to pan out the same way that Branden Albert has – very well. Give him a little more time. Jackson looks like twice the beast Dorsey is. Magee also looks good in drills. TJ and Magee were the two players patiently signing autographs for a long time tonight at the end of a long day.
I think they're talking about Taurus Johnson
instead of Tyson Jackson
but good points on T.Jack – thanks for the camp news.

Those gloves could be worth $$$
If DNA is needed when Larry decided to smack a bitch.
Good bar line for all my fellow Chiefs fans: “I’m not like most men. I ain’t afraid to fatten that lip, Sweetbottom”.
Works everytime. Try it.
Once, I urinated a whole hotdog.

Best part of the story...
A few minutes later, a kid came running back to where his parents were sitting yelling, “I got (running back) Larry Johnson’s gloves!”
I was sitting on the bleachers when the kid came running over. Because Larry had been on the field for a bit, the parents were a little suspicious and asked, “Does Larry know about this?” The kid yelled excitedly, “Yes! And Larry knows!” True story.
Gloves, Part Deaux
Andy Studebaker came over to where a couple young guys were standing after afternoon practice and gave them his gloves. The kids were excited. As he was walking away, I yelled “Go get ’em this year, Sterminator!” He gave a big laugh to the reference from earlier in the week. If you enjoy rooting for good guys, this guy is the real deal. He’ll be on the bubble. Corey Mays played well all day.
