Adam Teicher reports that Dwayne Bowe is apparently in Todd Haley's doghouse for not "buying into" the new conditioning program for the Chiefs. Bowe is still expected to start during the regular season but is reportedly being made an example of for training camp.

Gotta love that

No one is above the team. That’s exactly what these guys need.

I could get more sacks with my sack

I don't buy it

Bowe plays with the 2nd string for ONE DAY and Teicher starts jumping to conclusions.
Maybe Hailey just wanted to get a better look at the other guys.

I Don't Know If He Is Or Isn't

If he is, I’m fine with it…Bowe’s talented, but he had issues last season too, so if Haley needs to use him as an example then that’s fair enough.

Predictions for 2009

1. Todd Haley's going to struggle with managing his staff in his rookie year as head coach.
2. The Lions will draft Matt Stafford, the Rams will draft Jason Smith, and the Chiefs will draft either Aaron Curry or Eugene Monroe.
3. Maurice Carthon will be the most hated man on the Chiefs' coaching staff within two years.
4. Larry Johnson has already played his last meaningful game for the Kansas City Chiefs. He's gone before the 2009 season starts.
5. Larry Johnson will gain 0 yards rushing for the 2009 Kansas City Chiefs.
6. The Chiefs will go 7-9 in 2009, good for 2nd in the AFC West.
7. Ryan Succop will not perform better in 2009 than Connor Barth did in 2008.

Hard to claim...

that he isnt buying into the new training system when the guy dropped 15-20 lbs because of his new coach and his coaches new training system.

I remember a quote by Bowe

In an interview I listened to he said this years training was no different (this was back in June I think). So either he was training harder than everyone else last year, or he hasn’t stepped it up this year, which would definitely put him in the doghouse. Haley is going to make something out of this guy.

Chiefs go 9-7. LJ makes 1400 yards. DBowe makes 1200 yards. Defense #18.

Well said.

Everyone believes that Bowe is something special, just needs a push in the right direction. If anyone can help him achieve his potential, it’s Coach Haley.

Im not sure what Haley will be as a coach...

but I know thus far in his coaching career he has developed quite a few amazing receivers… I see nothing wrong with this.

Let me start a rumor

I think Bowe made a comment after the QB ’s misfire -

#82: Hey Matt, c’mon dude, lay it up higher, #4 threw it much better last year
#7: This is why I told you we need to put in extra work after practice
#82: Oh yeah, go tell coach, see if that matters

#7: Coach, I tried but Bowe isn’t biting
Coach: Thanks Matt, I’ll take care of it from here on…

Predictions as of 06.24.2009.

Larry Johnson will be a top 3 fantasy pick once again in 2010 (after a monster season in 2009.)
Dwayne Bowe will be a 2009 Pro Bowl selection.
Brandon Flowers will have at least 6 INTs in 2009 season.
Todd Haley will have a sideline shouting match caught on TV yelling at one of his asst. coaches.

I like it

I think what Todd Haley doesn’t want is to have another Brandon Marshall or Terrell Owens on his team – after working with a guy like Larry Fitzgerald, coach has set a a standard for what Todd Haley wants his player to be like – hes been on both sides of the river, the side with the diva WRs who are all about themselves, and the guys who are the exact opposite. There’s no tolerance for that now, and im not saying Bowe will become a Brandon Marshal or Terrell Owens mentally but with whats happened the past few years it seems like its becoming easy for new and upcoming stars in this league to get like that. But with all that said, all this article tells me is that Todd Haley is taking the right approach to coaching our team.
