This is a follow up to my attempt at picking the final "right 53"
I felt like there is a solid starter and backup at most positions, with great competition at other positions (TE, K, RT, KR/PR)
There were a few rookies that have a shot at the active roster, but will likely land on the practice squad. (Belcher, Walters, Taurus, Goldberg)
There were a couple veterans that have health issues that may keep them on PUP or unemployed (Croyle, K. Smith)
There were a couple of veterans that have great special teams ability, but may be crowded out at their positions (Copper, McGraw, Savage)
There are a few "developmental prospects" that have been on the active roster enough to be ineligible for the practice squad, so their Training Camp performance means the difference between the active roster and the unemployment line (B. Richardson, Studebaker, Morgan and mabye Savage)
I also have been made painfully aware that Pioli and Co. don't listen to my advice (Magee, Curry) , and will likely surprise us all with some of the cuts (Robertson, Johnston, Franklin)
So, I'd like to hear some discussion about the "bubble" spots on this year's roster...
Who will step up in training camp and earn a spot?
Who surprises everyone by beating out a starter?
Who will be the surprise cuts we didn't see coming?
