Mobile Commenting Comes to SB Nation
When you're at the bar in Oakland watching the Chiefs game and want to tell us how you just saw all four members of the Raiders' fan base, just log-in to Arrowhead Pride and tell us right there. Yep, SB Nation is now featuring mobile commenting.
From the SB Nation blog:
There are two things to note in this release of mobile commenting. First, mobile login is not network wide. You must sign into each community individually. Second, we did some cross browser testing with as many phones as possible, but we cannot test each phone. If you have any issues with mobile commenting please let us know at support@sbnation.com or using the contact form at the bottom of each page in the network. Please be sure to provide your phone model and browser type along with a very detailed description of the problem in your email.
Now we just need all of you to pony up and get me an iPhone.
Of course there could be some bugs here and there since there are a gazillion different types of phones so help us out and let the Support team know if there are any issues. Remember, they're here to help you out with any technical issues you might have.
Also, there is now a "retweet" button so that you can send any posts you like to your own Twitter stream.
Major props to Trei, Chris (Not that one) and the rest of the SB Nation tech team. Simply put, they are the best at what they do.

Will mix those at the game along with those watching the TV, eh? Cool.

Yep
That’s what I think a lot of people wanted mobile commenting for.
Now, hurry up and get back to work. That iPhone won’t buy itself, you know :)

iphones
are really pissing me off lately. Well, my iphone is. They’re nice and cool, but AT&T ruins it all for me. Im thinking of going back to my blackberry.
My crystal ball says that the Chiefs will not be drafting Aaron Curry. Their record at the end of 2009 will be 10-6. After witnessing the 2009 draft, their record will be 8-8.

YES!
Now, I just need a phone with a decent web browser.
The offseason is making me sleepy.

This is nice
but I want an app for that. I love the facebook app on the iphone. I hate using Safari, in comparison. But this is definitely a step that needed to be taken. Kudo’s to SBN.

They've been working on it for a while
They don’t want to rush things out because, after all, it’s about getting it right (Right, Pioli?).

No
I agree and like I said, it’s a step that needed to be taken. It caters to all mobile users, rather than a niche-segment.
Plus I loathe the fact of how you can only development app-store items with an Apple, pay for the SDK, then pay them royalties if you sell the end-product. Then AT&T restricts your phone from being all it could be, when a $50 phone can do what the iphone does only without a touch-screen. I do love mine, but sometimes that’s just not enough to overcome the idiocy that comes with it.
