", I have to admit that his vision for the Chiefs is starting to take shape through his actions. I like so far what we can see of his vision"
He mustve been drunk at this point in the day.

Whitlock
No offense to anyone who posts on this board, but that article is of no better quality than many posts here. That column was probably written in 20 minutes. It was more like a “Tweet.” I’m not saying he’s wrong for liking the signing—- I think it’s a GREAT signing— just that Whitlock doesn’t provide insight, he just threw a Chiefs article out there. The big “news” was personal—- Jason doesn’t hate the move just because Pioli made it.
Pathetic.

True
By far the best in-depth coverage I see of the Chiefs is here and Gretz. I couldn’t help but chuckle when Whitlock said he didn’t like it until someone he knows from Chicago said good things. Does the guy not do research about who players are or have done before he forms an opinion? I think people on here do a lot more critical thinking about the pieces and parts and then forming a well thought-out opinion which we may or may not agree with and then discuss.
I think this is a great signing, and bringing in someone with these leadership skills is far more important than whether he actually becomes a starter or not. I hope he pushes the guys to excel in order to beat him out, but it can only make the team better. Leadership on the field was probably the weakest point of the team last year.
Chiefs go 9-7. LJ makes 1400 yards. DBowe makes 1200 yards. Defense #18.

Whitlock sucks.
I agree. There is greater analysis done by guys who post on AP. The sad thing is Whitlock gets paid to analyze/write about sports. Joe Posnanski is 1,000 times better than Whitlock, I hope Joe makes more money. If you want an example of insight and analysis by a pro, check out Posnanski’s blog.
“My initial reaction to the signing was negative. I thought it signified that Jarrad Page and/or Bernard Pollard had flopped. And maybe/probably it does.” Really, Jason? Maybe it just means the Chiefs saw an opportunity to add some depth to the roster.
Toby is in HR, which technically means he works for corporate, so he's really not a part of our family. Also, he's divorced, so he's really not a part of his family.

Agreed
Similar to the article about him having no access.
His “commentary” articles may as well be posted on a blog. He doesn’t really have any insight to the Chiefs so his opinions are not more informed than anyone here. In fact, considering the amount of content we read on the Chiefs from insiders like Gretz, he’s probably less informed.

Obviously if Whitlock likes it...
then Its probably a bad move, and now I dont like it. I would provide reasons for why this is the case, but like Whitlock I am to lazy to be a good journalist. Hell if it wasn’t for Firefox, this post of less than 60 words would have tons of misspellings.

I really can't stand Whitlock.
He has always just seemed to be a blowhard who tries to make himself bigger than the issue covered. Ironically, he has been the voice of reason in the really “big” issues, like the Imus situation. I wonder if the guy even takes himself seriously

"My initial reaction to the signing was negative."
Well there is a shocker there…sometimes I feel like Whitlock is a secret agent sent by Al Davis to spy on the Chiefs and Kansas City and though he sometimes tries to act like he actually likes the Chiefs, his true passion for silver and black sometimes shows through.
I can barely get through any of his articles without cringing…
Boomer Sooner!
and
Go Chiefs!

I would compare Whitlock's articles
to when people see a car wreck they have to look at it to see how bad it is.
Herm is gone things are better with that one move!!
