Chargers cut Matt Wilhelm
The San Diego Chargers have released veteran linebacker Matt Wilhelm.
The team announced the move earlier this afternoon.
The six-year veteran, a third-round pick in 2003, started 14 games in 2007. Last year, he appeared in every game and started the first five of the season before being pulled from the starting lineup. He started two games later in the year.

Weird.
I read “Matt Millen” at first and was very confused.
You think it's coincidence that I bleed red?
The Bolts D was much improved after they pulled him from the lineup last year.
So, if he’s not good enough for the Bolts? But still, the intimate knowledge of an opponent could be very valuable, and may be an upgrade over DeMorrio as a backup ILB.
Negative Ghost Rider the pattern is full...
Very valuable
We’re talking about a linebacker who knows the tendencies of LT, Sproles, and Rivers after going up against them in practice for years. He would be a good player to have on our side when we play the bolts.
