VIDEO: Chiefs DE Tyson Jackson on LSU, Glenn Dorsey, Batman
Panini America interviewed Kansas City Chiefs DE Tyson Jackson.
Hearing his name called on draft day was "the most exciting time of my life" and it caused him to burst into tears. Here are a few other highlights from the interview:
On LSU:
Great football players and great coaches to recruit the best football players in Louisiana.
On being back with fellow LSU Tiger Glenn Dorsey:
Me and Glenn back on the same team again. Back in college we won a championship. Hopefully in the NFL we can be together for a few years and put Kansas City in a position to win a Super Bowl.
If you could see one player in any sport who would it be?
Michael Jordan. He's the greatest of all time in any sport.
If you could be one superhero who would it be?
Batman. He's a regular human being but he's got amazing powers.
Eat your heart out, Adam Best. A tidbit on another LSU player after the jump.
Former LSU cornerback Travis Daniels arrived in Kansas City this offseason. Like Jackson, he hopes to turn the Chiefs into the perennial winner the Tigers are:
"It’s a tremendous opportunity to go out there in Kansas City," Daniels said. "It reminds me of when I came to LSU. It was a program that was struggling a little bit, and soon after I got there, it was a big change."
With the four other LSU players on the team (Tyson Jackson, Glenn Dorsey, Dwayne Bowe, Rudy Niswanger), Daniels said the atmosphere in the locker room is more family.
"It doesn’t feel like I’m just part of an NFL team," he said. "It feels more like a family — more like the family atmosphere of being at LSU. I guess it doesn’t hurt that there are five of us from LSU in the locker room. It’s a great opportunity, and I’m looking forward to making the most of it."
Daniels attended Friday’s Pro Football Combine Camp at Nicholls State’s John L. Guidry Stadium in Thibdoaux.
So, nearly 10% of Kansas City's opening day roster will likely be filled with LSU players.

Correct
If he meant the actor who played Batman on the TV series.

He really did mean Adam Best
The excellent administrator of another Chiefs’ blog, Arrowhead Addict. Besides only being one letter different from the star you mentioned, Mr. Best also is a big Batman fan. I searched AA for Adam’s Batman analogy article from last year, but perhaps it has been deleted. And as far as eating your heart out, I s’pose Adam West would work, too. Good question.

Yeah, right, that is exactly what I mean.
Geaux, Chiefs! Right Thibodough? Er, Thibodeaux? Or, how the hell do you spell Thibodeaux?

I’m afraid I prematurely shot my wad on what was supposed to be a dry run, if you will, so now I’m afraid I have something of a mess on my hands. -Arrested Development
