2009 AP Fantasy League(s)?
Ok so I am getting a little antsy but any thoughts out there about AP fantasy football leagues this year. I imagine that with so many more people around here this year, a single 12 team league would fill up pretty quickly. What about 3-4, 12 team leagues with a means of then deciding the "grand winner"? Would stink though if a bunch of people ruined things by signing up and then bailing. Thoughts?
This is a FanPost and does not necessarily reflect the views of Arrowhead Pride's writers or editors. It does reflect the views of this particular fan though, which is as important as the views of Arrowhead Pride writers or editors.

I'd be interested. I'm a FF addict.

We may have another "official" one this year
Go ahead and organize however many you want.
I’m bowing out of fantasy this year. I’ve finally admitted I just don’t care enough to keep up with it.

I have a league that I always do with old friends
I have never done two leagues though. Does that dilute the experience for any of you “mutileaguers” out there?

I usually enter at least six leagues a year minimum but Ive got an addiction problem.

I was in 4
last season. And that was my lowest number in a few years.
Moral of the story: more leagues are always welcome by me, 10 is my limit though, more than that and I start losing track of things.

What!!!??
As the reigning AP fantasy champion, this is disheartening.
I don't have religion, I have Baduizm...and Billie Holiday.
Erykah Badu is on notice. Amel Larrieux is catching up to you quickly. Let me see what you got, Erykah.

We'll still have it DThomas
I may just not be active in it.

That is exactly how I feel about it
It can be fun, but it is so much work. And I just don’t like the way it changes the way you watch the games. You shouldn’t be rooting for a Bronco just because they are on your fantasy team.

Eh
I usually just use it as an excuse to not feel quite so bad when someone from a hated rival plays a good game or busts a big play. It [took] some of the sting out of Brandon Marshall’s TDs and Nate Kaeding’s field goals when I knew they were netting me points in the process.
When it comes to KC, I’ll root for my team over my fantasy player(s) 18 times out of 10. The fantasy teams simply give me more “purpose” to watching games other than KC’s every week and help me get to know individual players’ throughout the league better.

Good points............
That is the way i look at it too. I just play in 1 FF league, with my little brother and friends. But i dont go to the extreme’s that some people do, i dont make a list or anything like that. I just go by players and what i know about them. B.Westbrook has saved my butt many times over the last 3 years,as my 2nd RB, but i might have to find someone else to take his place this year.

I got an idea for a great post but no skill
A comparison of the 4 AFC West projected starters, charted, and ranked.
Needs a great Chart, alas no skill. Maybe you want to run with it? Or someone else?

I'm bad at explanations but heres a decent link:

Bottom line is that it takes about 5 minutes per week to set your lineups, but if you get into it like many, it can be quite time consuming. It does change the way you watch games, for better and for worse.

Maybe I better stick to midnight commenting, NOT!
AP has already changed the way I will watch Football in 2009.
Baby steps :)

I was actually getting ready to ask if AP had an annual league. Seems like everybody here knows enough football to make it interesting.

I'm in
Pretty hardcore when it comes to fantasy football.

If we had a...
suicide league or one of those bogus salary cap leagues, we could accommodate everyone. I’d like to see a big suicide league where you just pick the winners with point spreads each week

I'll do it
I really like the ESPN free leagues and how they are set up. However, half the people quit after week 4 which sucks.
If we arein an AP league at least we know everyone will stick it out and makeit fun.

I don’t quit and I only run 1 fantasy per year so this is the one I choose!

I'm in for
an AP fantasy league. I generally do 4-6 teams each year, spread out over Yahoo! and a couple other sites. I’d love to get in on some AP FF.

Don't blame me, I voted for content of character.

If we go ahead and do this I would recommend....
Espn’s free leagues especially if theres some people who are newer to the idea. It’s the most user friendly and best quality of all the fantasy league systems in my opinion.

yeah dude...
Jean shorts are definitely out… That is the only fashion advice I can give, that is unless they are cutoffs, which are cutoff right above the pockets “ears.”

Im game for a fantasy league...
and since im relatively new to this forum/blog I would suggest that newbies of this place would be in one league (or leagues), and that the regulars could be in another, with the caveat that the winners of the “noob” leagues could earn their way into the other league.

OR!
We could do this for the long term and set it up like European soccer leagues, where good fantasy players get to play good players, and when you do poorly you get demoted.
