Concur.

This guy is the real deal. His worth ethic exemplifies how a professional should carry himself. Also, good work ethic tends to rub off on other players. I think his leadership skills will also reflect what kind of team this will be. A winner will always help to elevate the players skills around him. Bank on a championship before the end of his contract.

Put this in your pipe and smoke it:
1. Chiefs will be at least 8-8 and vie for division champs
2. DJ will break out and finally have his year
3. LJ returns to form
4. DBowe drops will reduce

Details per ESPN

“Cassel and the Chiefs worked out a six-year deal that will pay him in excess of $10 million a season, according to a source. The contract will keep Cassel with the Chiefs until 2014. The team is expected to make an announcement Tuesday afternoon.”

Matt may not be the most gifted QB...

but I think he has it together between the ears and to play QB in the NFL at a high level you HAVE to have it together mentally.

According to Clayton

The deal is for $63 million, with $28 million guaranteed, according to a source. He’s going to make $40.5 million in the first three years of his contract.

One thing I like about him is this

He has been in the League a few years, however, he has been rarely used up until the start of last year. He has fresh legs similar to Trent Green coming in here from St Louis, and has been “brought up” with a winning way in NE as many of you have pointed out.

Legs

Speaking of his legs, his footwork when in the pocket always reminded me of Tom Brady and Trent Greens. Although I guess it could be that way for all QBs.

mmm this shit is good

anyway. We all want hinm to turn out to be the franchise guy. If he isn’t, the Chiefs lose some money. if he is, we have him locked up until I am 31.

its going to work im so pumped yes finally a young strapping lad

under center
this is what we have been craving for years . I think at this point he is going to give us the best chance to win . Plus i see this move as one of the biggest moves in chiefs history. And maybe even the cornerstone of bringing a super bowl to kc this is our first defining piece no doubt

Does this contract agreement....

Make anyone else ever more excited about this year? LJ is the only other guy to get huge money from us in recent history, they must be really confident to give him that money without really seeing how he does in our system, minus the OTA’s b/c thats the only time they really saw him with us. C’mon sept, get here!!!!!
