Adam Schein of FOX Sports ponders whether the Chiefs have a KC Masterpiece going on. With the addition of Matt Cassel and Scott Pioli this offseason, it's not an uncommon thought amongst the NFL pundits.
At the end of the day, Schein is another analyst outside the game commenting on the team. When he compliments the Chiefs, he can do no wrong. When he criticizes the team, he doesn't know anything. So remember that this is just another opinion on the 2009 Chiefs. Much like the ones we express around here everyday.

2009 Sleeper Team: Kansas City Chiefs
- Calls the Chiefs a "team to watch"
- "Very difficult out every week for the opposition"
- Cassel and Pioli moves are "brilliant"
- Notes Haley was the last head coach hired.
- LJ will bounce back. If he gets cut he knows he'll never see another payday like the one he has now again.
- Cassel will be a top 16 player by the end of the year
- Predicts Bobby Engram will catch 70 passes
- Mike Brown: Should help out the "young pups" in the secondary
- Not a stretch to say the Chiefs could win 8 games in 2009

I would be surprised...
…if the Chiefs didn’t win AT LEAST 6 games. (I will give them two more wins over last year just for having a coach that can make halftime adjustments…and another two for being in better shape (by far) than they were last year.)

I think they’re doing something like this on all 32 teams….though the Chiefs do appear to be the sleeper pick after the Dolphins/Falcons (identical) offseason in ’08.

We are unknown.
One advantage that we will have for a little bit is our unknown. No one will quite know how we are going to play. I think by the end of our NFC East tour people might start figuring us out a little bit. It will be interesting to see how the other teams play against us not knowing how we are gonna play and react.
Man when is football going to start? I’m getting very impatient lol. Can’t wait to see some KC football this year. Hopefully they’ll get shown on our networks this year with all the changes and media coverage this offseason.

Toby is in HR, which technically means he works for corporate, so he's really not a part of our family. Also, he's divorced, so he's really not a part of his family.
He kind of grows on you.
He has hosted one of the main shows on Sirius NFL Radio for several years (not the best show on Sirius- that is defenitley moving the chains with Pat Kirwan and Tim Ryan). He is a little over the top and opinionated, but he does know and understand football.

Anyone remember the Chiefs Rams game in 2000?
Rams were coming off a Super Bowl victory and started the season 6-0 and the Chiefs lit them up 52-32.

Never thought I would love the day the Chiefs were called an absolutely mediocre, completely average, plane-jane, run of the mill 8 win team but I guess thats how 3 years of Herm Edwards will make you feel, huh who knew. Hell at this point I would take 4 wins as long as they came against the Broncos and Raiders.
When the Chiefs finally take off (get it together)
the sky is the limit. I think eight wins could be on the low side this year. I think 9-7 probably wins the division or close to it. I also think the Chiefs will be right there in the mix. Haley and Pioli have both said they expect to win. I expect it, too. This team is going to be super special as soon as these young guys figure out they can not only play with the big boys, but kick their asses.

He has a depth and breath of NFL football knowledge unseen before now !! Seriously, I think people around the league are starting to notice Pioli’s moves and Haley’s coaching style so their upgrading their expectations of the Chief’s … I think after a few games we’re going to show the NFL that’s there’s a new KC Chief team in town …we’re going to be mean, lean a kick ass machine ! Go Chiefs
