Red Zone Podcast: Petro With Brandon Flowers | KCChiefsblog.com
I was sitting down to take notes on the Red Zone Podcast when I noticed Ryan over at KCChiefsblog.com had already done so.
So take a visit to his site and take a look at the notes he made. He's also got the audio embedded from the mothership. Nice work, Ryan.

On the offense:
Offense is looking good so far. Matt Cassel always puts the ball where the defensive back can’t get to it. Dwayne Bowe is coming to practice fired up and Larry Johnson is running the ball great.
I’ve seen quite a few comments regarding some of the comments from LJ’s teammates speaking to his hard work and dedication this offseason, citing that no one would tell the media he was running poorly or not looking like he could return to form this season. Well, no one has to sing his praises either, especially when answering questions non-spcific to LJ.
When asked questions about offseason conditioning, or the offense in general, Matt Cassel, Branden Albert and now Brandon Flowers have all had very positive things to say about LJ. Flowers said the following in Petro’s interview in response to a general question about the offense:
LJ has run the ball like its 4th quarter gametime every practice. Everybody here is putting it all in, tired of havin the season we had last year, so we’re putting everything on the line right now."
These types of responses from LJ’s teammates were not prompted, nor were they answers to specific questions. He’s showing by example that he has something to prove this season, and is working his ass so much that his teammates are recognizing it and singing his praises.
With LJ seemingly fully onboard with the offseason program and the direction the new staff is trying to go, I’m starting to get real excited about what we might see in our football team when we hit the field for first preseason game.
I could get more sacks with my sack

Even Haley has said it.
And thats coming from a guy that doesnt give many specifics about individual players if he doesnt need to.

+1
If he is back running hard for the entire season, than we could actually be a contender in the AFC West in 2009. I just jinxed em, nm.

I have been saying this for awhile the problem was Herm
the 2009 Chiefs are not going to be the same team as 2008 even though most of the players will be the same.
Herm is gone things are better with that one move!!
