I will definitely win a Super Bowl with the Chiefs.

Damn
I can’t listen at work. And, I’m on the west coast. Can anybody provide some context? Or maybe(probably not) a transcript?
Couldn't find any transcript
but he also went on to say that the coaches have the players working very hard this offseason, and that he expects that the Chiefs will win games this year. He didn’t mention how many, but he seemed very positive with the way things are going so far.

Kietzman asked him who he thought the leaders of this team were
and Flowers mentioned all new faces. He stated that Vrabel and Thomas were the leaders on defense, and that Cassel was taking control of the offense. No huge surprises there, but I think that it is significant that all of the players he considers to be team leaders were brought in this offseason.

That is very significant
It seems pretty obvious that we lacked a vocal leader on the team last season. I think that even a player like Goff will help provide some leadership and keep these young guys focused.
I'd be happy if we could consistantly make the playoffs again.
2006’s regular season ended with a bang..and the post season was the biggest play off let down I’ve ever watched…
Herm’s good enough to end up somewhere else as a HC but I’m so glad he’s not here anymore

So...
The physical shape of this team has changed drastically and the attitude. That alone she result in better results even without adding one new player.
It's official
I will definitely be buying a Flowers jersey now. I’ve been trying to pick between Flowers, Bowe, or Colquitt.
He is the people we need.
He is the kind of people we need on our team. Not only does he have confidence in his team, passion for the chiefs and love of the game but shows his dedication to the CHIEFS. As he said he will win a superbowl with the CHIEFS. If i didn’t love him enough already more reason to love him. Dude is awesome.
In Pioli We Trust
I'd say Flowers is well on his way to earning the right to wear that
Arrowhead on his helmet!
"But what do I know, I'm AP's new assclown and I’m like an empty room with a large ECHO"
I think a lot of these boys are
makes me feel like a proud papa

And this is how it starts....
One guy believes, and then the next, and so on. We never heard anything like this during the Herm years. I would say we are going in the right direction.
Hell
I don’t remember an attitude like this since the Marty years. This is great stuff. We’re developing the killer instinct and the hard-nosed work ethic that we haven’t seen in a decade.

True,
I was listening to an interview with Dolphins coach Tony Sparano and they we asking how they were able to turn it around so quickly. He talked about how important it was for the players to buy into what they were doing, and then start to BELIEVE. It was pretty cool, and I kept thinking about the Chiefs, and the fact that they need to do this as well. Maybe, just maybe…
The difference between winning and losing is a pretty fine line.
Agreed
We had so many close ones last season. But we had no heart. I don’t know if our talent level has improved a ton, but I think we’ll bring plenty of heart. That alone should net a few more wins.

Gunther, Vermeil and Herm
removed half the content. :)

To my amateur eye...
it looked like we weren’t as conditioned as other teams. The fact that we got our asses kicked in the 4th quarter of nearly every game tells me that we were tired, while the other teams werent. And since Herm is notoriously an easy practice guy I put all of the blame on him.

Ha. Sometimes I think UC hasn't been on here as much because his work here was done
as soon as Herm left! :)
Gotta love it
This is the difference between the Chargers pre and post Marty. Players that not only want to win a superbowl, but they want to MAKE the team they’re on good enough to win it.
I can't doubt him.
I briefly talked to Flowers, Dorsey, and Albert in the autograph line, during the Red Friday Pep Rally at Crown Center, before the home opener last year. I waited until it was almost over to get in the line; so, that the line was short and I’d have 20 seconds to talk to them, instead of the 5 seconds it usually takes to sign an autograph. All 3 were very nice and awed to be there, as most rookies seem to be. All 3 also signed twice for me, against the rules I think, so that I could send some signatures to my out-of state brother. Inversely, Brian Waters hurried me off pretty quick, but I understand how a veteran can get tired of signing autographs and it didn’t bother me much.
Anyway, I came away the most impressed with Flowers. He seemed genuine, humble, and very proud to be a Chief. I asked him if he was going to shut down his side of the field this year. He responded “Absolutely, sir.” He backed up those words pretty well in his rookie season. I also thought it was funny that he called me “sir” as I’m only a few years older than he is, but I think it showed how much he respects football, this organization, and its fans. Anyway, he became my new favorite player after this brief exchange. My guess is that he honestly believes in this team and will do everything in his power to back up his recent comments.
That's awesome, love the optimism
Hopefully the comeback starts this season!

I'm high on Cottam myself.
After meeting him in River Falls last year. He was cool enough to have a conversation with my brother and I. (My bro being a younger kid who gets star-struck pretty easily) I love the optimism and the fire we’re seeing.
Here’s to TJ, Turk, Tank, and GDo making the NFL afraid of them. Maybe this is the year we take back our home field advantage, eh?
