Around SBN: Four TCU Football Players Among 17 Arrested In Drug Ring

So when Bowe and Haley had one of their first discussions, Bowe said, the coach said it was time to pull the plug on The Show. Haley needed Bowe’s full attention, and work had to come before entertainment. Instead of greeting fans or opponents before games, Bowe said Monday, he’ll be catching passes on the sideline. Instead of posing for television cameras and causing a scene after a receiving drill, he’ll be working on securing the ball and technique and concentration.

Forgive me...

I’ve been a loyal Chiefs fan for 18 years – make about one game a year – but….what the hell is “The Show”? This one is over my head. Someone please explain? I’m lost. Thanks.

The D Bowe Show

Dwayne Bowe being the man basically.

I remember on Hard knocks...

Bowe was talking about being a future hall of famer. Maybe now with Haley he might be able to get that good. He definitely wasn’t getting there the way things have been the last couple years. Maybe this is exactly what he needs to get himself motivated/focused.

Shoot

He’s off to a GREAT start. I’m not saying anything about the HOF but not many WRs get 2,000 yards in their first two years.

Agree

Did Bowe drop a lot of balls last season? yes

Are Bowe’s first two seasons comparable to those of most of the star WR’s (young or old) in the league? Yes.

Marley will be walking soon...she could probably play Linebacker better than some of the guys we had.

Dont get me wrong...

I wasn’t saying Bowe hasn’t had two great seasons. I am just saying that he was not putting up HOF worthy numbers…YET!
I truly think that will change under Coach Haley.

Yes! I love it.

It is no coincidence that the drops arrived the same season that “The Show” did. Karmic justice. I love D-Bowe, but that crap has got to stop. I do think that he wants to be great, and I do believe that he can be … he just needs to work at football instead of expending all of his energy on trying to get more press.

I'm GREAT with this

AS LONG AS Haley knows when to let go of the reigns on him. There is nothing wrong with having a colorful personality. I’ll be really impressed with this move by Haley if he pulls it off right. I think he’s smart enough to recognize that Bowe is young, and how young men can go down a bad path without leadership. I think if Bowe were to go uncontrolled he would end up like Owens. With a little bit of growing up, he could end up having a Shaq or even Sapp like career. Goofy, but mostly a professional. There’s no doubt that, at his core, Bowe is a goofball. Haley has to make sure to let some of that out now and again or Bowe will go crazy. Your personality is your personality.
