3-5 worry me a little

On board with your list. 3 and 4 are really needed, 5 is not necessary but it’s getting tiresum listening to people still bitch about it.

Prediction for Donkey's game...

KC Wolf will come out, push over a guy wearing a giant orange barrel, shake his belly, and belly flop onto the guy. Hilarity will ensue.

my 10

1) 9 wins
2) more than 30 sacks
3) real sellouts again before the end of the yr
4) Dorsey will have a great year
5) D Bowe will be a pro bowler
6) Cassel will be as good as advertised
7) Hali will have a great year rushing the passer
8) the Defense will be top 15
9) the Offense will be top 15
10) Special teams will be the biggest improvement, and will help win close games

by stagdsp on Jun 8, 2009 12:41 PM CDT reply actions   0 recs

Yep...That is about as far as I am willing to go.

A new team/system plus a really tough schedule. 7-9 or maybe 8-8.
Even if the Chiefs are a really good team, we will still need some lucky bounces to go 8-8 with our schedule.

I predict we will at least be competative this year.

Actually, I think we will be much improved from what we saw last year, on offense and defense. I read the artical about Cox losing weight and he said the training was intense and guys were having to really work hard this year. That tells me we will be better this year, I am a Husker fan and this sounds EXACTLY like what was coming out of Lincoln last year. Good players with some bad conditioning and bad coaching. Bo Pelini and Co. turned that ship not in the right direction but completely around and with another staff’s players. Haley is intent on making these guys faster, leaner and hopefully meaner. This sounds very similar to me.

Leave the gun. Take the cannoli.

my 10

1) Jarrad Page makes a valiant push but gets jipped of a Pro Bowl spot in favor of some underachieving big name (i.e. Roy Williams 3 years ago)
2) Brad Cottam never scrapes 500 yards but gets a bunch of end zone grabs
3) Derrick Johnson finally has that breakout 120+ tackle season
4) Quinten Lawrence has a break out season
5) Tyson Jackson gets less than 5 sacks
6) Tank Tyler is a mediocre NT and we pick another one up in free agency
7) Glenn Dorsey gets at least 7 sacks
8) Hali surprises at OLB
9) Matt Cassel is top 10
10) Chiefs go 7-9

Time is a great teacher... unfortunately it kills all it's pupils.

+1 for #2

A 5’10 CB, 6’2 Safety, or 6’4 LB could not defend a 7’0 Brad Cottam in the short and goal situations…..its not possible.

He's 6'8"

and runs the 40 yard dash in the 4.6’s

Marley will be walking soon...she could probably play Linebacker better than some of the guys we had.

My 10 predictions for 2009

1) Pioli will not drop a F-bomb on Tyson Jackson’s agent.
2) Gunther has dropped one while I write.
3) Herm will sing the praises of HIS Chiefs secondary.
4) Croyle will injure himself in pre-season.
5) Haley will light up Whitlock in a QA session.
6) Bowe will drop A pass this season.
7) Cable will bench J. Russell, McDaniels will struggle, and Norv Turner will be fired.
8) Thigpen will have a Sunday to remember.
9) Cassel will have a Season to remember.
10) Chief’s Nation will well up in Pride when Derrick Thomas is inducted into HOF!

Where you been Lanier?

You and UC have disappeared lately. Bring back the glory!!! We need a fresh infusion of neopoliticism and asshattery to keep this gawd forsaken off-season at least a little bit entertaining.

#5

The only way to forget about Jared Allen is with the linebackers
They have to move quick and come up with the sacks that the linemen wont be able to get
So #5 is possible just depends

Before you build yourself up, you must tear somebody else down.
