Charles, 5 feet 11 and 205, has added five pounds from a year ago and seeks a heavier workload as well. With 67 carries for 357 yards, 27 catches and 15 kickoff returns, his rookie role was smaller than anticipated.

"I think I’ll be getting the ball more, at least 11 times a game," he said. "They wanted me to get bigger and stronger and I’ve been doing that."

Ha

I read this earlier and was going to post it. Thats good I hope he gets more opportunities, he has the chance of taking it to the house everytime he touches the bal. Just hope this doesnt hurt L.J.’s “feelings”

LJ and his feelings are going to be in diapers again, which is good, since otherwise he’d just crap the bed. Charles isn’t a long-term, every-down back at this point, though, so I don’t want him to be the focal point of the running game.

Haha

My favorite part was “Oh shit.” I could ALMOST hear Mitch yelling that, until that part.

Consider yourself rec’d.

Several player reports of "same offensive plays as last year"

That’s interesting to me. I expect more of a Haley influence than same offense and plays last year. We won’t really know until the season starts.

Like you say, I expect some different things to utilized strengths of our players. Maybe 2 or 3 back sets. Maybe some kind of wildcat with Thigpen.

Was interesting to hear comments from OTA of right sweep with LT Albert pulling. Don’t recall that much or at all last year. So, theer may be some variations and adjustments to the O and play calling. We’ll see.

From what I heard...

The only thing similar to last year is the QB will be taking plenty of snaps from the shotgun position. I’m sure that it will be similar, but at the same time I expect to see more of a balanced running game.
