Around SBN: Jeremy Lin's Game-Winner Was Incredible, Worth Remembering

Not only did TSN release a OC ranking they just released one for the DC and the Chiefs once again didn't rank badly at all.

11. Clancy Pendergast, Chiefs. Pendergrast is very unpredictable, at times unorthodox in his alignments, and he is tough to game plan against. The 3-4 has become the Chiefs' primary scheme, but liberal usage of the 4-3 in nickel sets helps him keep opposing offenses guessing, and so does his frequent shifting of the defense's impact playmakers, which will be key to making the transition work in Kansas City.

I am excited about our defensive talent and

what may happen with our defense this year. Plus, I totally agree that Pendergast is a much better defensive coordinator than he is given credit for being.

NFP not impressed.

Lombardi has a few thoughts on our DC over at the NFP.

I read the article.

Lombardi seems to do nothing but rip the Chiefs recently. I’m surprised by the #11 ranking for Pendergast to be honest. With the current talent I see the Chiefs being a middle of the pack defense, but I guarantee we will tackle better.

Middle of the pack

is a huge improvement over last season, so I would take that. With all the conditioning at least they wont be as tired in the second half as they were last year.

No Cunningham advocate, here, but...

… the offense needs to sustain more drives.

Lebeau 1 and Johnson 1a

There isnt much seperating those guys. Its nice to see that Clancy is rated so high too. Hate to defend a division rival but Ron Rivera deserves a little more love then #14. That D turned it around when he was promoted and that should be even more apparent this year.
