According to assistant coach Thom Roundtree, Thunder first string quarterback Orrick "Rico" Watkins turned in an impressive effort in their latest victory. Roundtree also said Watkins appears to have a possible shot at trying out for the Kansas City Chiefs.
Chiefs Bringing In Another Quarterback?
KCChiefsBlog.com brings us this tidbit this evening. The link in the post isn't super legitimate so we'll wait and see what happens with "Rico" Watkins.

Bye Bye Brodie
I didn’t think the Chiefs would keep him around this year, even as a third-string QB. He’s just too injury-prone to be trusted in any capacity as a quarterback.
Predictions for 2009
1. Todd Haley's going to struggle with managing his staff in his rookie year as head coach.
2. The Lions will draft Matt Stafford, the Rams will draft Jason Smith, and the Chiefs will draft either Aaron Curry or Eugene Monroe.
3. Maurice Carthon will be the most hated man on the Chiefs' coaching staff within two years.
4. Larry Johnson has already played his last meaningful game for the Kansas City Chiefs. He's gone before the 2009 season starts.
5. Larry Johnson will gain 0 yards rushing for the 2009 Kansas City Chiefs.

Although I agree with your points below
It’s a stretch to think this guy’s going to make an NFL roster.

I'd Say The Same About Croyle, Frankly
Croyle is certainly talented enough to be a third-string QB, but his extreme tendency towards getting injured makes him unsuitable for that role…if he were to get called into a game, the team can have no faith in him to be able to finish that game. Watkins is probably a step up in that regard. So is Ingle Martin.

Quarterbacks who have been in the NFL have a tendency to stick around
There will definitely be a team that gives Croyle another chance. I figure he’ll bounce around the league for at least a couple more years before everyone gets it.

What are you smoking!

If Croyle Could Be Trusted To Stay Healthy For Even One Full Game
I’d agree…but he can’t. So I’d take just about anyone over Croyle.

We already have 4 QB's on our roster
if this story is true it has to make you think something is up, either they don’t like the backups or maybe Pioli seen something he really likes in this guy. From what we know about Pioli he seems to be thinking 2 or 3 steps ahead so there might be something to this, if the story is true.
Herm is gone things are better with that one move!!

That's what I'm thinking.
I’m sure Pioli is always a couple steps ahead and looking for ways to improve the team, but whenever there is a rumored interested I worry that it is a bad sign for that position.

Camp Fodder, that is all.
If anyone were going to go anywhere, I don’t think Quinn Gray would have been cut. By the way, Gray is a much better QB than Ingle Martin.
I still don’t understand them cutting him.

He could be a camp fodder but
that just means they will have to cut more people to get down to 80 before camp. Why take 5 QB’s to camp when the team has so many other places they could use the extra people at.
