Nice article
Sounds like Trent still has his head together. I guess we will always have to sit and wonder what the last three years might have been like had he not been KO’d. I’m still a fan.
Chiefs go 9-7. LJ makes 1400 yards. DBowe makes 1200 yards. Defense #18.

Yep
I imagine things would be a LOT different if Trent had been the guy and not the merry-go-round we had.
Actually…he might have been a youth movement casualty anyway.

True
Herm and Co. were going to push Croyle into the starting line up. Of course, that still means Green would have seen plenty of playing time after ‘losing’ his starting job.

How great would it be to see Trent Green
on national tv talking about concussions and ticket prices. Most TV does nothing than protect the shied and talk about Favre. There are some issues that need to be discussed with the NFL and one of them is definitely concussions.
I remember that when Trent Green went down in KC with his concussion there was some controversy about teams making players play with concussions. I was proud that the Chiefs did the right thing and gave him the time he needed to recover. It says more about the organization and W & Ls.
A person in good health in a Western liberal democracy is, in terms of his objective circumstances, one of the most fortunate human beings ever to have walked the surface of the earth.

A freudian mistake...
… by Trent???
In his first item Trent makes the statement- “The NFL is very image conscience and Mr. Goodell is a big reason why that image has maintained through some major off-field issues.”
Unfortunately for our old QB, I think he meant to say that the NFL is very image conscious.
See definition below:
con⋅scious [kon-shuhs] –adjective
1. aware of one’s own existence, sensations, thoughts, surroundings, etc.
2. fully aware of or sensitive to something (often fol. by of): conscious of one’s own faults; He wasn’t conscious of the gossip about his past.
3. having the mental faculties fully active: He was conscious during the operation.
4. known to oneself; felt: conscious guilt.
5. aware of what one is doing: a conscious liar.
6. aware of oneself; self-conscious.
7. deliberate; intentional: a conscious insult; a conscious effort.
8. acutely aware of or concerned about: money-conscious; a diet-conscious society.
9. Obsolete. inwardly sensible of wrongdoing.
Perhaps it was a freudian hat tip by Trent to Robert Geathers or Travis Johnson that rankled his conscience to prevent him from using the correct word… unconsciously, of course.
TD
P.S.- Yes, I’m nitpicking.
P.P.S.- Yes I still think it’s funny that a man who’s been unconscious didn’t use the correct adjective.

off topic
…but I didn’t have an embed code for the fanshots. There’s a video on NFL.com right now (front page – 2nd slide, I think) of the NFL’s All-Time Best Defenses. They ranked the 69 Chiefs at #8. …Not bad.

Yeah
NFL.com doesn’t let you embed the videos but you can still post a link to the page.

Sounds like KC
really made an impact on Trent. I like all the references to smelling the grills form the stadium and having 80,000 fans cheering your name. KC has one of the only stadiums that holds close to 80K. Not to mention he moved his family back here. I don’t like the way his career ended, but enjoyed watching him play in KC.
