Ranking the Kickers and Punters in the AFC West - Bill Williamson, ESPN.com
1. Shane Lechler, Oakland, and Mike Scifres, San Diego
3. Sebastian Janikowski, Oakland
4. Nate Kaeding, San Diego
5. Dustin Colquitt, Kansas City: This is a deep list. Colquitt is a top-level punter when healthy. He became famous when Kansas City coach Todd Haley cited him when asked what the new coach liked about the team he was inheriting.
6. Brett Kern, Denver

Colquitt Would Be Higher
If we had better special teams play. Outside of a few good special teamers, the Chiefs haven’t had much in terms of punt and kick off coverage.
A person in good health in a Western liberal democracy is, in terms of his objective circumstances, one of the most fortunate human beings ever to have walked the surface of the earth.

Despite horrible coverage
Colquitt had top 3 net in 2006 and 2007(even number 1 one of those years) and top 10 last season despite his injury.

Colquitt
is a great punter. I think he just sort of fell off the map because of injury last season and he’s also played for a team with a losing record for 2 years now and i dont think that many people know him.
Off subject: Has anybody wrote out the schedual and tried to create W’s and L’s for each game? I just did it and i came out with an 11-5 record. It’s probably just me thinking that we can win every game but the only ones i see us losing are: 1. Baltimore, 3. Philidelphia, 4. Giants, 11. Pittsburgh, and 12. San Diego. Our Division record will be 5-1, and that loss is to the Chargers. You guys should try it, its kind of interesting trying to think of what the scores will be.

Good idea
and we’re working on that on-site already. First two games have been written about

Yep
I predicted a loss to the Ravens and Chris predicted a victory against the Raiders. So we’re 1-1 right now. Next up is connerman with the Eagles on Thursday I believe.

Wow
That post was awesome. I don’t recall reading it, or seeing those cheerleaders! Lol. Some of the scores from his post and my little prediction were close. Hopefully were both right!
I can’t wait for Football Season.

11-5!?!? Will you sell me some of your ganja?
How many US Open runner ups have you blazed with? Way to go, Ricky Barnes.

I do like your optimism. I could use a shot of it.

As much as I would love to see the Chiefs pull a Miami and go 11-5, I can’t see this ever happening. What about Dallas/Washington/Jacksonville/the other Chargers game? Maybe even Buffalo? Maybe they go 50-50 in those games if they’re lucky, but to sweep them all would be amazingly lucky.

Colquitt
This rankings don’t matter. Each time in this division is loaded at the punter position, but these top three could easily make the top three or four in the NFL

No matter what, our players will continuously be under rated...
Analysts expect us to be terrible this year..I’m loving it

I am too if...
We’re not a 2-4 win team again. Because if we are, then all the analysts will have been right.

Mentioning injury
about Colquitt was asinine. He got hurt once. Shut up. He’ deserves to be up there with Lechler and Scifers. Janikowski is severly overrated. I’d put Colquitt 3rd.

3rd or 4th
I see the argument for Lechler and Scifres, but Janikowski is SO overrated.

Yeah
I mean, he couldn’t even recover the ball after it hit him on the knee during a horribly designed badly executed fake FG =)
Marley will be walking soon...she could probably play Linebacker better than some of the guys we had.
