Around SBN: Tottenham's Plans for Northumberland Stadium Approved

The Kansas City Chiefs waived LS Thomas Gafford, WR C.J. Jones, DT T.J. Jackson and LB Darrell Robertson on Friday. Gafford played in nine games as Kansas City’s long snapper in 2008, while Jackson saw duty in four games for the Chiefs a year ago.

I think that's a safe assumption

he’s somewhat of a local kid… glad to see him win the job!

I’d say depth at ILB might be an issue as well

strange

they have cut several guys that I thought could earn jobs during training camp.

Haley and Pioli must have clearly seen something they didnt’ like, or something that couldn’t be improved upon.

We’ll see if this means that they will sign some other FA… or if guys on the roster have earned their keep already.

Probably not.

I don’t think so. We’ll probably see a number of our draft choices signed. We are currently limited to 80 signed players and I think we have 85 on the roster. As soon as they start getting contracts with the drafted players they have to cut somebody.

Current roster

Current roster is at 81 so expect at least one more cut before training camp.

I bet there will be more...

they are not done with the roster changes… though I bet there will be more surprises.

someone else we all think will be important to the team will be cut

someone else we’ve never heard of will be signed

seems to be the Pioli way

They will add somebody.

Why cut it down to 81 when you could just cut it down to 80? Why would you wait to cut one more guy? We’re gonna add a player or two so they can do another round of cuts.
