Code of Silence...
Alright, so we all know how the Don goes about business. Arrowhead is tighter than a well digger's ass. Time and again this has been brought up here on AP. Some feel it is a good thing and some tend to disagree. Will it be a good move in the long run? We all certainly hope so. The reason for this post is linked to the situation with Plaxico Burress. Should we sign him or shouldn't we? It's already been posted and I won't beat a dead horse here. However, when Haley was posed with the question regarding acquisition of Plax in his OTA exit interview, to paraphrase, he said that everybody would have to be on board to make sure it is the right decision. He claimed that it is not any ONE man's decision. Scott Pioli, Todd Haley, Denny Thum, etc, would all have to agree that it would be a good move for the Chiefs now and in the future. I am on the fence about Plaxico. Yes, the man is a great receiver. Yes, he could definitely give this offense that much-needed push to get us above and beyond average. Yes, he is a thug and yes, he may bring drama. Can it be handled? Absolutely. Can he become a better athlete off-the-field? I believe it can happen. Now the real questions remains, will we go after him? Is it possible that we already are? I had an interesting read at NFL's website. They said that three teams have already expressed interest and now a fourth has emerged. The problem is, nobody knows who that fourth team is and his agent, Drew Rosenhaus, confirms a new suitor is involved but does not reveal the team. Are the Chiefs taking the plunge?
This is a FanPost and does not necessarily reflect the views of Arrowhead Pride's writers or editors. It does reflect the views of this particular fan though, which is as important as the views of Arrowhead Pride writers or editors.

Sure, KCCHIEFS came to mind, considering the Plaxico thread is outta control!
Did you read the Tim Hasselbeck quote in the New York Post, today? I think the KC crew will be good at keeping a lid on prima donna bullshit, but it’s not like Plax was an unhappy star in a shitty program. So the Moss parallel is kinda tough to draw.
I took that quote with a grain of salt.
Tim isn’t the best source for Plaxico’s charector reference. That dude barely even played with him.
KCCHIEFSFAN- You put that thug comment in there just for me didn’t you =]
"...Said he couldn't go on the American way"
Tim said he was a locker room cancer
No need to be on the field with him to make that assessment.
I could get more sacks with my sack
Not intentionally...
I recall reading the posts the other day and “thug” was the colorful description associated with Plax. I guess it was embedded in my skull and regurgitated into my post…

Bad Play there.
and Jux I don’t really think Plax is a Thug. Talked to my 22 year old son and realized that I AM OLD and realllllllly not UP on things. Don’t know the Artist but I grew up listening to Journey and he incorporated the Journey lyrics into it and updated and I liked it and some others too.

He’s at least KIND of a thug. Loaded weapon stuck in his belt at a high-end restaurant? That makes him a thug, and a very stupid one at that, wouldn’t you agree?

You might be using the “by definition” phrase a bit liberally, but anyway, by illegally carrying around a loaded handgun in completely inappropriate places PB has qualified himself as a thug, or at least a wannabe-thug.

I rather enjoyed
the out of control Plax post discussion. It was fun. :)
I do think everyone should let cpt.caveman know he should keep coming back though. No matter what your differences are with him, he’s been a solid member of AP and things went sideways on him when he was trying like hell to stand behind his point. A fella otta get some slack for putting up a good fight.

Nah I'm good
I was cracking up through the whole thing. But I thought it was shitty for Hiv to give caveman a hard time for the grammer but at the same time I was arguing with caveman. It was kinda a clusterf%#k but good times.
"...Said he couldn't go on the American way"
All's youze kin do wit' grammuh
is use it as best you can. Seems like the better-written stuff gets better-written replies. That sort of thing builds, and the kids learn to join in with the grown-ups. But the younger generation always figures out ways to bastardize things that are more efficient than their elders’ ways, and those innovations have a way of stickin’ over time. They just ain’t as smart as they think they are.
I said "outta control" outta respect.
“Long” discussions start in at about 1/5 the number of responses that other thread had. The AP crowd have pretty strong midwest views on hard work, honesty, and treatin’ people fair, and the whole Plax thing really hits a nerve. Put that in tension with our collective interest in seeing the Chiefs have top talent on the perimeter, and you have the liveliest discussion I think I’ve seen since I’ve been on AP. EVERYbody had something to say, and a lot of it was pretty good (present company excepted).
