Glenn Dorsey Talks about Being in Shape for Training Camp
Today, we've got another video courtesy of the Kansas City Star. This time, they spoke with Glenn Dorsey for a couple of minutes. Here are a few notes I made while watching it:
It's a challenge. I agree - coming to camp in shape.
Q: What was Coach Haley's message before the break?
A: We know who we are as a team and we know how much work we have to get done. You don't want to get set back by going home and doing nothing.
Q: What do you think training camp is going to be like under Todd Haley?
A: I think it's going to be fun. It's going to be a lot of hard work. But you know. We have to do things different. We have to try to win more games next year. I feel like it's going to be very productive and we're going to get a lot of good out of it.
Q: Do you expect to be 100% by training camp?
A: Yes, I should be 100%.
Q: How important is training camp going to be for you, since you missed some drills and practices?
A: You don't want to miss anything. I've missed practices so I have a lot of catching up to do. It's going to be important to be in shape and get into the flow of things.
Q: Do you like going to River Falls for training camp?
A: I like it, it's cool. It's kind of like an island to me. There ain't too much around there, just the team.
Q: How do you feel about holding training camp in Missouri?
A: Missouri is cool too. Wherever we go, it's going to be secluded.
More fans probably get to see you in Missouri.
A: It's nice to have the fans around sometimes. When you're tired and stuff, they're pumping you up and stuff. Wherever we go, I'm going to be ready.

Dorsey bought the house in Raintree next to my homeboy...
actually bought it from Mike Sweeney. I’ll have Big Baldy keep an eye on him, make sure he doesn’t spend too much time fishing in the next few weeks.

Raintree lake in Lee's Summit.
Ritzy neighborhood off of 291. My boy actually bought his house from Steve DeBerg, no joke.

Is it just me
or does Dorsey look slimmer (or rather, less round?)
Marley will be walking soon...she could probably play Linebacker better than some of the guys we had.
Is it jus tme or does Dorsey look like Greg Oden in that photo?

I think
It’s a screen shot from his video.

I hope he makes it to camp. It’ll be tough, considering that his agent will (rightfully) demand that his contract approximately split the difference between Stafford’s per-year guaranteed money average ($6.95M/yr.) and Sanchez’ ($5.6M/yr.). Jackson’s agent’s going to want about $6.3M per, which is a lot for a guy with 36 total tackles and four sacks as a senior defensive end in an offensively weak conference. There’s definitely a chance of a holdout, but let’s hope Pioli and the agent develop mutual respect and can come to an agreement in time.

Pretty sure you are thinking Jackson…this year’s pick, this article is about Dorsey….last years pick who is already signed.
Ugh. This is what I get for posting while feeding the baby.
