The Kansas City Chiefs will conduct voluntary practices starting today and continuing through Thursday.  It will be the final set of any formal practices and/or team activities until the team departs for training camp on July 31st.

Today and tomorrow's sessions are the only ones that will be made available to the media (from about 10:30 to a few minutes before noon).  So keep an eye out today for video and a round up of today's activities.  Here's how the rest of the schedule for the NFL offseason is shaping up:

June 28-July 1-NFL Rookie Symposium, Palm Beach Gardens, Florida.

Mid-July-Training camps open (July 31st for Chiefs)

August 9-Pro Football Hall of Fame Game, Canton, Ohio (FINALLY...some football in pads!)

August 13-17-First preseason weekend (Saturday, August 15th for Chiefs)

September 1-Roster cutdown to maximum of 75 players.

September 5-Roster cutdown to maximum of 53 players.

September 10-14-Kickoff 2009 Weekend.

Below the fold, I've sorted out the Arrowhead Pride coverage of all the Chiefs practices, mini-camps and OTAs dating back to April 17th.

Star-divide

April 17-19 (Voluntary mini-camp)

May 8-10 (Rookie mini-camp)
May 18-19 (OTA)
May 21-22 (OTA)

June 1-2 (OTA)

June 5-7 (MANDATORY Mini-camp)

June 8-9 (OTA)

June 11-12 (OTA)

June 15-18 (OTA)

Any AP homeboys in Philly?

Turns out I’m going to be in Philly for a bachelor party the same weekend the Chiefs play there. Would like to catch that road game.

July

is the lost month. What the hell are we going to do? No practices….probably no news…especially with the Don.

It is going to be a very hard 30 days man…

Boulevard

lots and lots of Boulevard.

Marley will be walking soon...she could probably play Linebacker better than some of the guys we had.

Don't worry

We’ve got a few things lined up that will hopefully make this a little more bearable.
