I was in the Bay Area last Fall and there was an un-challenged story on the local sports talk show that the Coaches knew Russell wasn't watching game tape at home like he said he was.

Story goes that the Coaches sent him home with a blank DVD and asked him if he watched it the next day. He said he did.

This is a completely unverified story but I wanted to post it because, well, it definitely could be true. Gotta love those Raider draft picks. They're so....smart.

I spent about 30 seconds looking for the post that this quote came from before I had to abandon ship.

Heard it last year about midway through the season from a friend that recently transplanted from Lawrence to the Bay and he thought I’d get a good kick out of the story. Whether it’s true or not it still makes me laugh.
