Haley
comes off as a smart ass…
“yeah, I’d expect everyone to be here this weekend… it being Mandatory”
Yeah .........
He does come acrossed that way to me too, but i would be the same way about mandatory camp! If we win games he can be a asshole all he wants!
very positive
Sounds he the team is making progress, getting tougher, and becoming more of a unit. Yea, he’s a bit of a smartass, but then so am I, so I kind of like it. I don’t think he’s going to take much crap of anybody….reporters included.
Looking Good!
I have been a longtime follower of arrowheadpride but I am a new blogger! While Haley fails in comparison to Herm’s entertaining press conferences, I’ll take results on the field anyday! Here are some of the comments I appreciated as potential evidence that we are heading in the right direction:
“Everybody will be treated the way they deserve to be treated!”
“Night and day since offseason, we have done everything together. Just part of the educational process. Not going to be a lot of gray area, its going to be pretty black and white. If you are doing and good enough you’ll be alright and if you are not you probably won’t be around!”
Our schedule is excellent to see where we are immediately. I can’t wait to see how we measure up with the Ravens. Let’s roll’em!

Haley does seem somewhat pleased. That's what I'm hearing.
He’s very happy with Cassel, Zach……and so forth. I just wish the reporters would ask him a generalized question regarding his overall view of the talent as compared to what he’s familiar with in Phoenix. My guess is that in many ways he is very pleased and maybe even a little surprised by the overall talent level. These guys were very close to winning several other games last year, and should have, but just were not coached or disciplined correctly.
I agree wholeheartedly
Primetime thanks for welcoming me, as I am the most fanatic Chiefs fan in New Mexico! Keep up the good work and best of luck in the job hunt. I am amidst too many Bronco fans and am certainly estatic of the opportunity to sweep the Donkeys this year. I have seen KC only play twice and both were in Denver and losses! Go Chiefs!

That's Chris looking for the job
Not me (thankfully!) :)
So New Mexico is Bronco country? Haven’t run across too many Chiefs fans from NM. Glad to have another state represented.
Good Story!
Last year I went to the Donkeys vs. Tampa Bay Bucs game. I wore my Chiefs gear since we had one of our 2 wins the week prior against the Broncos. Everyone was somewhat cool about it saying “I added insult to injury”. The worst was after the game when the Broncos won and the Chiefs were scoreless against the Panthers that same day and shut out! Some old man told me “Did you know KC did not score a single point today” I told him “we score enough last week”. Nevertheless, I will continue the smack and am encouraged this year!

I loved the stuff Haley said
we have had enough of the we tried hard just wasn’t enough and babying the players, as Haley said if you don’t do your job you won’t be around. Bring on the season.

Did anyone see the re-air on Sunday of the Patriots vs Dolphins game from November!
I got even more excited when I watched the way Cassel played throwing numerous touchdowns and 300+ yards. He stood in the pocket and deliver the ball with accuracy and solid mechanics. He is going to flourish in KC and should be given credit for his results. He made Welker and Moss have a good year, not the other way around!

Moss did play poorly the couple years prior in Oak
But Cassel’s gotta prove it with the Chiefs first. I think he’s got the ability, both physical and mental, now it’s just about proving it on the field.
I missed the NE/MIA replay…no NFLN. Stupid Time Warner.
Haley consistenty mentions getting stronger and better conditioned
As if conditioning was CLEARLY an issue last year, which it was. I’m glad the new staff has realized this and is putting a heavy emphasis on conditioning and getting stronger.
No more coddling players and letting them work out when they want to. I doubt it was that bad, but not being able to close out games and play to the final whistle is a clear indication that that assessment isn’t too far off.
Hopefully we’ll see a Chief’s team that doesn’t get pushed around this season; one that actually plays to win the game.
I could get more sacks with my sack
Plus he will weed out those that don't want to work
Robertson and Franklin. And the message is sent if you won’t work you will be gone.
Let's Kick some ASS in 09 or Die trying
Point well made!
Even Colquitt is feeling the push and on board losing 10 pounds just from the running according to the Gretz article. Things are definently for the better and I sure hope to see Vrabel and Waters at mandatory OTA’s. I wonder if some fellow players have called them and communicated their thoughts!
