Power or Finesse?

Which way is the KC offense headed?

I vote for power (and meanness).

Haley's known for high-powered offense, but is this a line that's suddenly going to sustain a solid pocket for 20 seconds (*wink*), or one that creates passing opportunities for its QB by forcing defenses to honor the run (and bite on the play-fake) and/or exploiting QB mobility by rolling-out and bootlegging?

If Colin Brown is any indication, and with Damion McIntosh on the squad, they can punch people in the mouth, but there isn't going to be a lot of sustained 1-on-1 blocking in space from the RT position.  And there's not going to be a WHOLE lot of 2nd-level blocking, either.  First things first.  I think the short-term objective is to at LEAST blow the other guys off the line with the initial push.

I think anything our QBs get is going to be based on the o-line's ability to get positive yards no matter what.  Give LJ that much, and he could easily become a dominant player, again.  And if he rediscovers some dominance, the job just got that much easier for our QBs, even if they're not the best drop-back and pass-protect unit.  I see more drive-blocking on passing downs...

Somebody who knows something about football can school me, now.  Thx in advance.
