Chris predicted our UDFA signings would come soon.  And it looks like he was right.

Looks like our UDFA tracker was pretty spot on.  We correctly predicted every one of these signings with the exception of Daryl Harris.  There were a handful of other candidates that had rumored interest that didn't make the cut.

Remember, this is just the UDFAs that we've signed.  Other players, such as Chase Patton, received an invite to rookie camp but didn't sign.

Bios of each player are at the mothership.

Click over for a complete list of our UDFA tracker including hits and misses.  And for fun click here to see Chris' predictions on which UDFAs from last year's group would make the team.

Abare not among the mix

Not every prediction was correct…

How does a 265 lb o-lineman get signed?

Cameron Goldberg, by the Chiefs’ estimation, weighs 265 lbs. Unless he’s coming in to vy for the long-snapper job, I don’t get it.

6'6" 265 Tackle says to me

the guy can’t catch a football to save his life…

otherwise, he’d be a huge TE

Marley will be walking soon...she could probably play Linebacker better than some of the guys we had.

Right?

From last year

Chris predicted Cox and Barth…so later in the season he was correct =)

Dacus, Lokey, and Leggett also made the 53 man roster, right? (I can’t remember about Lokey, and I don’t know if Dacus was called up from the PS when all our LB’s were injured)

Marley will be walking soon...she could probably play Linebacker better than some of the guys we had.

Londen Fryer is a good player.....

Don’t know how that will translate to the NFL, but he has some great pedigree.

Leave the gun. Take the cannoli.

Pretty darn good

some of the guys you crossed off could still try out this weekend.

My predictions for who makes this team/practice squad:
Chase Patton 3rd string QB
Taurus Johnson #4 WR/special teams guy
Londen Fryar DB/WR/special teams guy
Pierre Walters LB ‘cause he’s “one of us”
Daryl Harris G… badly needed depth there

Patton as 3rd String?

Do you think Croyle is getting the boot or is he gonna get beat out?

Leave the gun. Take the cannoli.

I think he's getting the boot

personally.
But, what do I know?

What is Brodie makin' these days?

What kinda dough is he bringin’ in? If he is makin’ some MONEY he is definatly gone, can’t have money invested in a kid who hasn’t proven a darn thing yet….. even though given an oppertunity.

Leave the gun. Take the cannoli.

What do we know about Harris?

All I can find is that he started for most of the year at Miss. I can’t find a draft stock page anywhere.

Where's our good amigo Holtzclaw?

Granted he was only in the rumor mix and there were the rumors regarding the Lions signing but I really wanted to see him here. Did our petition ever get sent? Any news or am I just outta it with Grad School year one rapping up?

by Eastcoastransplant on May 8, 2009 10:18 AM CDT reply actions   0 recs

The last I heard

He was invited to participate in the Lions Rookie camp but wasn’t offered a contract at that time. He could possibly be brought into our rookie camp and not be on that list, like Chase Patton.

I have no idea if he was brought in, though.

I don't have religion. I have Baduizm...and Billie Holiday...and Janet. Actually, just Janet.

We can cross our fingers...

It’s not like we don’t need some good understudy linebackers in here.

That's the picture I saw on the Miss website.

He looks pretty small in that picture. Maybe it’s the number 50, makes him look more like a lineback.

He's a well put-together kid

Played in the SEC at a good school. I’m hopeful for him. We certainly need depth at OG.

Here is a little more info

OXFORD, Miss. — Ole Miss’ Darryl Harris has been granted a sixth year of eligibility with the Rebel football team, as the offensive lineman has received a medical waiver from the NCAA.

A Clarksdale Miss., native, Harris has played in 22 games over his career, drawing 14 total starts — nine at center and five at tackle. The 6-foot-3, 300-pounder received the J. Richard Price Courage and Compassion Award for his efforts during 2008 spring drills.

After earned the starting nod at center in nine games as a sophomore in 2005, Harris competed in only the first three games of 2006 before injuries ended his campaign. He returned to see action in five contests last fall and started the Auburn game at right tackle.

Defense, Defense, Defense

I'm currently reading "One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest" and it feels like we got ourselves a McMurphy on our hands....wheelin' and dealin'

Who do we cut?

By my count this makes 86 players on our roster. How much time do we have to trim the roster to 80?
