Plenty can happen between now and the start of training camp in July. But if the Chiefs hope to have a capable offense this season, Pioli and Haley have their work cut out for them.

Michael Ash is not very excited about the offseason moves the Chiefs have made thus far on the offensive side of the ball.

People are putting too much into the Tony trade...
…As has been commented on here before….Every team that has ever won a playoff game has done it without Tony Gonzalez…

umm
The loss of Tony is a major problem for the offense if we don;t have someone to pick up some of his slack. Do you think the Eddie Kennison years would have been so good without Tony?
We need somone to account for his 105 points and thousand yard seasons over the last two years. Granted we didn’t win many games WITH Tony putting up those numbers the last 2 years but that is just how bad things have been.
Until we have a proven second recieving option I am going to be concerned.

Brad Cottam anyone?
Here is the beauty of Cottam: teams will not be expecting to have to double cover him. He has an opportunity to make a big splash early in the year. The guy is what 6’ 7". He could be a difficult guy to compensate for defensively.
I would like to see another WR but, if that doesn’t happen, I am very hopeful that our O-line improves and the running game gets better this season. That with the addition of Cassel could make all the difference in the world for our offense.
