Hey AP!

I know this is not a sports related fan post, but, I think I have to share the news. My wife just gave birth to our first child Tuesday May 26th at 5:36pm. She weighed in at 4lbs 6oz and 19in long....little bitty. They just let them go home today. I have been living at the hospital since Tuesday. Its great to be back home.

I just wanted to share that info with all the "guys" here at AP. You all are good people and I appreciate this site very much.

Surely some of you Daddy's can offer a little advice to a first timer?

Thanks guys.

Matt

Congrats Matt!

Only advice I know is to stay away from the “fresh” doo doos. You need a list of excuses to prevent being the diaper changing guy! Good luck! :)

Oh yeah, when the time comes

don’t let her date anybody that goes by “Primetime”. It’s just too risky!

HAHA

Thanks buddy…I will take that advice with me her whole life. lol

Congratulations!

My nephew’s wife had a son on Wed. If you’re young when you first have kids, it’ll make you grow up FAST. Prob’ly less blogging for you, my friend!

If you’re older when you start a family, it makes you younger.

Congratulations! I have a son and three daughters,

so I am a pretty experienced dad. I still remember the things my Mom always told me. So if you’re looking for some advice, if you had a good mom, do it just like she did it. That’s what I do.

Congrats MG

As a father of a 2 year old and a 2 month old, my advice to you is:

1. cherish enjoy every moment that you have with her now b/c it goes fast
2. quit whining about how much free time you don’t have b/c when #2 comes you’ll not have ANY
3. have as much sex as you can now b/c when #2 comes you’ll not have ANY

Learn From Your Own Mistakes...

I have two little ones. My daughter is 3 and my son is 2. Read the books and listen to other people, but remember, you are your own person. Being a Dad is the greatest thing that could have ever happened to me. Sure there are ups and downs, but those hugs/kisses and I love you’s far outweight the little things. Get involved and change the diapers, it’’ll only bring you closer to your child and will score you major brownie points with the wife. Above all, keep a cool head no matter what happens and watch your mouth around her. Once they start talking, you can’t stop them and they become little parrots repeating everything you say. And make sure she becomes a huge Chiefs fan…

I actually at various times have had many other peoples Kids living with me.

And One young boy ran away to my House. Cops and grandparents and all. turned out alright I hope:) People/kids are precious and need a place sometimes to get things worked out. I Don’t regret ever helping a single one to become someday an old Fart like me :)

Thank You Everyone!!

I was reading these post with a grin from ear to ear. You guys are the best! You can get mad and rip a raider fan apart with your own two hands and then you can get cool calm and collected to tell a fellow Chiefs fan Congrats…..awesome! Yeah this will mark my days of blogging to very short ones….but this will still be my Chiefs site of choice no matter what. This is Chiefs Family to me!

Thanks for all the great advice! kcchiefsfan72, that was awesome stuff! Sounded like a country song…lol jk.

She will definately be a big Chiefs fan!

Congrats Matt!

My wife and I had our first child on April 23rd. Its a lot of work but is totally worth it. Dont worry about how small she is. We went back to the doctor last week for our one month visit and he gained 2 lbs 9 oz in the three weeks between his 1 week follow up and his one month.

There is no better feeling than coming home from work and seeing your baby. Congrats again!

WoW!!

Thats a lot of weight gain! Hopefully our little one will start packing them on. She is gradually eating more and more as each day passes.

A tip from an old fart

Don’t ever forget it takes two to make a miracle such as you have.
And someday when things are tough remember: It was you and her before Baby makes three.
Be strong together and everything will work out :)

Usually I give my advice WITHOUT people asking, but...

Just kidding. I’m a guy that doesn’t have any little shysters myself (which, of course, proves that the female sex is the smarter sex.) But, in my opinion, good parenting is a combination of love and discipline.

I Just realized that we didn't get a Baby picture?

Whats with that? C’mon Matt post one up!
