Anything to say about the new mindset?

Stay connected for news and updates

DB interviews and yesterday's Soren Petro interview of WR Bobby Engram sounds like they're teaching principles and ideas, rather than x's and o's by rote.

Chiefs players are starting to sound like New England players, already. That "situational" thing is coming through loud and clear, or should I say "low key and football-smart."

Leaves a good impression. Just sounds like they're teaching ideas, rather than facts. As a teacher, I like hearing that. Sure, I always have a lot of facts to convey to my students, but it's the IDEAS that need to be mastered. Master the idea, and the facts follow.

Will we see an end to players who seem to have no clue on defense? Will the receivers adjust their routes to suit the situation on the field? If everyone knows their job, they can spend all the rest of their energy on perfecting the execution.
