Kansas City Chiefs Announce 2009 Training Camp Schedule

The Kansas City Chiefs have announced their training camp plans for 2009. The team will begin the trek to River Falls, WI on Thursday, July 30th. Camp will continue until August 20th.
Here are a few key dates:
- 1st practice: Saturday, August 1st
- Family Fun Day: Saturday, August 8th
- Final practice: Thursday, August 20th
The team will depart for River Falls on July 30th. No word yet on whether Todd Haley will drive to Wisconsin like Herm Edwards used to do.
As a reminder, here's the Chiefs pre-season schedule. They'll leave camp following their second preseason game.
Saturday, August 15th (7:00 PM CST)
Texans at Chiefs
Friday, August 21st (7:00 PM CST)
Chiefs at Vikings
Saturday, August 29th (7:00 PM CST)
Seahawks at Chiefs
Thursday, September 3rd (7:00 PM CST)
Chiefs at Rams

Im not to crazy about us going back to riverfalls
I mean have we had any luck out of that place in a while . I say lets get away from the bad football era try a new location. Maybe we need a fresh new area.

This is their last season in River Falls.
Next year (assuming all goes as planned) they’ll be in my hometown.

Around Family Fun Day time…the last year at River Falls (probly) means the last year you can really interact with the players…

Family Fun Day is a blast
Though Tony was kind of a jerk last year at FFDay, at least I got his autograph. Meeting the players is a blast, especially when five of them walk into Coach’s bar like they’re regular people.
Also, if Adrian Peterson is there, he signed for us last year. I hope to see JA around as well.
