The Dallas Cowboys are shopping outside linebacker Greg Ellis, multiple sources told FanHouse on Thursday.

Cowboys Shopping Linebacker Greg Ellis -- NFL FanHouse

Aging LB available...Do we have interest?
I say grab everyone we can get and let training camp determine their worth.

Definitely intriquing

Can we really sign another Older guy? Really? Pioli is the Anit-Herm.

No doubt!

It may not be a Miami-like turn around this season, but it WILL happen.

I like Tamba....

But….Ellis, Thomas, Dj, and Vrabel? That’s a pretty damn good LB core! Even if 3 out of 4 are on the wrong side of 30! Ellis had 8 sacks last year….I’m not even going to finish it…lol.

I am fine with the older players.......

as long as they have short, reasonable contracts. We need some band-aids in place to help our young players come along. Then, as long as we are drafting well, we should need fewer band-aids every year.

He turns 34 in August

Unless he is cut, I don’t see any trade value. He’s a one year guy and I would be willing to pay a premium for his services (one year) but no draft picks. He does fit the Pioli mold as a high character and professional individual.

I totally agree with DThomasReigns,

sign the guy up, and lets see if he can still play. It so, why not let him go at it. We could wind up with a pretty decent linebacker corps before the smoke all clears away.

Remember everyone, we have to trade for him.

What are we willing to give up?

I’d give a 5th.

I don't have religion, I have Baduizm...and Billie Holiday.

I wouldn't want to touch the Bankroll for a 34 yr old LB. Don't think Vrabel we got Cassel.

Wait till Dallas has to let him go. Then see if he wants to play for Haley :)

Let's Kick some ASS in 09 or Die trying
