Tulsa’s Johnson also received a tryout invitation from the Kansas City Chiefs and because the Chiefs will hold their minicamp next weekend, he still could attend that, too.
"I’ll just wait to see how things turn out, I guess," he said.

You Tube video
At the 10 second mark he shows he has a pretty good arm. Video quality not so hot but it looks like a 65 yard bomb right in stride. Worth an invite to mini camp IMO

Pretty good arm?
That appears to be an understatement. Those balls flew and hung in the air. Wow. Bring that kid to camp

When I watched that video
I Thought he threw the ball from about 5 yards deep in the end zone and landed in the WR hands at the 35 yard line but I couldn’t really tell because of the video quality. That would be a 70 yard throw on the money!

Okay.
Why did we not draft this guy in the 7th? I think our tight end would have been there as a UDFA. He definitely has an arm.

Tulsa QB's and the Chiefs
After KC picked up James Killian in the 7th round in the 2005 draft, they may have had some reservation in picking up a QB from Tulsa in the last round. But Killian’s numbers and arm, can’t touch this guy!! You think the video is impressive. To watch him live was just amazing. The kid can take a hit. And I mean a HIT!!
I’m really cheering for David Johnson. I honestly think he could be something special with the right coach.

I figured such.
My jaw dropped when I saw the 4,000+ passing yards in a season. Then TT popped into my head.
Oh well—as long as the guy has an arm.

Yeah .........worth a look
But with Cassel and Thigpen I think the QB position already has reason to be optimistic.
There’s always room for a developmental #3.
Opinions are like A--holes, everyones got one.

Isn't great we don't have to talk about fragile Croyle anymore?
Even though I just mentioned him. Can we keep his wife though? i’d even accept 3rd string just so she can stick around.

I bet we keep this guy over Croyle for sure.
Poor Brodie.

Hey I'm all for
getting rid of Brokie Croyle and if this kid can keep up those bombs (he sure has an arm huh?) and can take one (just one) hit, well he’s already an upgrade.
