Sure, but that doesn’t mean he doesn’t provide financial support for his kids. It’s possible that he completely ignores his financial obligations to do so for all eleven kids, but perhaps unlikely.

I'm so tired
of seeing my tax money spent to prosecute drug crimes.
Especially when the Mexican War lords go untouched.

Speaking of tax dollars
I heard the other day that our gov’t is spending a couple million overseas—“Educating” chinese prostitutes on proper alcohol consumption. Explain that to me.
Obama Thinks He Can Fix The World
Kind of like how he mandated today that cars will get 35 mpg by 2016…which likely means we’re going to have a bunch of little bitch cars with no power that nobody will want to drive (so I’ve decided that I’m going to buy that Dodge Challenger with the Hemi at the first opportunity). But then why shouldn’t Obama micromanage the auto industry some more? After all, look at what a great job he’s done so far running GM.
I yearn for the day that we get a President who understands that he’s not competent enough to be making decisions on how to run anyone else’s business. Fucking politicians.
Predictions for 2009
1. Todd Haley's going to struggle with managing his staff in his rookie year as head coach.
2. The Lions will draft Matt Stafford, the Rams will draft Jason Smith, and the Chiefs will draft either Aaron Curry or Eugene Monroe.
3. Maurice Carthon will be the most hated man on the Chiefs' coaching staff within two years.
4. Larry Johnson has already played his last meaningful game for the Kansas City Chiefs. He's gone before the 2009 season starts.

I just focus on Obama because he’s President now. Dubya has gone back to being the waste of flesh he was before he polluted the White House. Although I still hope Dubya gets hit by a bus…the useless, sociopathic prick.

You're going to think I'm completely crazy
But if Perot or some such other extremely successful Business owner/operator runs for President I’m all in for that vote. Foriegn policy may go to hell in a hand basket, but the Govt. seriously needs to be run MORE like a business and LESS like a charity.
Get someone in the White House that has shown they can actually run a business, instead of running one into the ground.

There Aren't A Lot Of Libertarians Who Kiss His Ass
He’s just as bad as we thought he’d be on all the issues we knew he’d suck on, and he’s a failure at all the areas where we thought he might be okay. About the only area where I don’t have a problem with him is the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. I don’t exactly agree with the Afghan surge, but he’s handling the war competently overall…he was also smart to keep Robert Gates on board.

That's a good point
And it makes me feel a lot better.
Like I’m not really down with Obama and his game plan but I think a lot of the right side outrage over his spending packages is hilarious.
I’m not really talking about people being outraged…it’s our money he is spending so be as mad as you want about it. But it cracks me up to see politicians who have spent the last 8 years supporting/starting the war in Iraq to be upset over a spending bill that gives people health care and is making an effort to fix the economy.
700 Billion is a lot of money. Don’t get me wrong. But it’s hard for me to take someone seriously when the the cost of war since 2001 is not at $858,968,837,237.
Humm…So your against 700+ to be pumped into our countrys local governments and budgets to try to help the economy, but your for spending 800+ billion to save other countries….Sit down Dick Cheney. Sit down.
"...Said he couldn't go on the American way"
I’m in agreement with almost all of this, even as a veteran of the “war,” but I will say to you what I said to the others: this isn’t the place to discuss this topic.

Are you from Cali, by the way? I lived out that way, too. Can’t say Sam Farr was my favorite congressman I’ve ever had, but the Monterey peninsula is probably my favorite place I’ve ever lived by a very wide margin. We were able to see Santa Cruz, most of Monterey Bay, and plenty of mountains from three of our bedrooms and our wall window, lots of downtown Monterey from the front windows. Heck, we could hear sea lions when we woke in the morning, and the monarch butterfly migration routes went right through our neighborhood. If I could afford a seven-figure home, I’d move back!
by burntorangehorn on May 20, 2009 5:05 PM CDT up reply actions
Not from
but it’s where I stay. I’m up in Redwood country which is the prettiest country in all of the land (if I do say so myself). I like Native California, not much of a city slicker so I tend to stay away from the southern bay’s. The coast is magnificent though and I’d reccomend a trip down Highway 1 to anyone who hasn’t traveled it. If you like the spring migrations I’d suggest checking out Mendocino in March as the Whales are off the hook

by KansasCityShuffle on May 20, 2009 5:19 PM CDT up reply actions
Yeah, I didn’t really get down to the southern coast much. I had some friends in Orange County and all that, but IMO the glitzy Hollywood scene is pretty lame. Monterey was a nice small community with a great history (Steinbeck, Cannery Row, all that jazz) and even better attractions (Big Sur, Carmel-By-The-Sea, Ventana Wilderness, Pebble Beach golf, etc.). I did go to SF quite a bit, but as fun as it can be there, the congestion wasn’t worth it.
Looking back, my only real complaints about living in California were the expensive real estate and the traffic. Of course, now I’m in a nice DC suburb, so there’s far more traffic and the real estate is almost as expensive. I’m getting out of the Army in two months, and I plan to work about seven years before trading a Maryland townhouse for a Kansas spread.

by burntorangehorn on May 20, 2009 8:08 AM CDT up reply actions
Everyone here has been civil about this.
Who are you to tell us to stop?
Especially when your 2 sentence post is more offensive than all of our political conversations.
"...Said he couldn't go on the American way"
What was offensive, other than telling people to shut up about politics where it’s not welcome? And yes, I would be saying this whether you guys were bad-mouthing spending by Obama or by Bush.
by burntorangehorn on May 20, 2009 4:35 PM CDT up reply actions
Do i really have to answer that?
You called everyone a dumbass and then told us to shut the fuck up.
If i walked in on a conversation you were having and called you a dumbass and told you to shut the fuck up you would probably be pretty offended.
If you didn’t mean to offend anyone it’s all good. But I think I will wait for a mod to let me know that I’m out of line.
"...Said he couldn't go on the American way"
It’s most certainly the height of dumbassery to steer a football board in the direction of politics. I would love to discuss the merits and demerits of Ron Paul, who actually was my congressman for a while when I lived in Friendswood, TX, but this definitely isn’t the place. And what I said was no more offensive than what these people did, which was to spout inane nonsense.
by burntorangehorn on May 20, 2009 4:57 PM CDT up reply actions
You can make your own evaluations
And have your own opinions of what anyone says. I’m not trying to stop you from that or change your mind on it. Everyone here also has there opinions.
So if you want to think we are all dumbasses, fine. I’m happy for you. But keep it to yourself please. Because no one has called you any names even after you threw the insults.
My original point holds true. Us talking politics has been less offensive and caused less drama than you telling us to not talk politics.
-I don’t want this to escalate. I enjoy my good standing here. I will not respond to you anymore.
"...Said he couldn't go on the American way"
Okay, go right ahead. But dragging political specifics into a sports board is not a smart idea at all.

Well at least he's fertile, and not afraid to propogate, we need more T Henry's
seriously, can we start giving licenses for people to have kids. I need one to drive, I need one to carry a gun, I need one to catch a freakin fish, I need a special card to get books at the library or even vote; but any loser can go out and make copies of himself. Somebody should write a letter.

I have been saying this for years!
As messed up as it sounds it is so true.
"Sports don't build character, they reveal it." -Damon Bruce
I do wish there were a way to implement the license idea, which of course has been around for years. I don’t think such an implementation would receive a very warm welcome from the “laissez-faire” crowd.

And for your next bit of fun research....
How many of Travis Henry’s children also belong to his wife at the time of birth?
