At first I thought some seating had been torn out but at second glace that just looks like tarps.
As promised earlier today, I drove around the stadium and took some shots of the renovations.

The new office building to the side as you pull into the complex. Looks fancy pants.
Back of the building with the practice field visible
West side of the stadium. The silver thing under the Arrowhead board is one of the new concourses.
Some type of edifice being built of the south side of the stadium. I'm not sure what it is.
Similar shot including cranes o'plenty and my rear view mirror.
SouthEast corner. Again you see the thing on the side as well as another silver concourse. This one on this side appears to also be part of the entrance.
Another shot of that thing.
Yet another. I think I've determined NASA will be using it to launch rockets.

you can put your cursor where it says arrowhead. it will bring up a menu and go down to arrowhead webcam and actually watch them working on the stadium and it has a timer where you can be in control of the webcam and its movments .. meaning you can turn the cam to get different views .go chiefs !! and thank you arrowhead pride .

But the building looks odd…Like the addition stuff with the stainless look contrasts hardcore with the brownish concrete…

I wish I didn’t live so far away, I’d love to see it. Is that stupid chainlength fence all the way around it w/ the lame white crap w/ the pictures of what it will look like, (but the thinkg is just to block the view of construction) still there?

I think the NASA launchpad
is the foundation for the “Horizon Seating” monstrosity
Marley will be walking soon...she could probably play Linebacker better than some of the guys we had.

I thought they were putting in 2 new Jumbo-Trons also.
They ARE re-doing the jumbotrons....
I went to a Royals game recently, and if you stand at the back section of Lot C, you can look across one endzone and vaguely see the inside section of the opposite scoreboard….it is COMPLETELY gutted out right now, which obviously means they will have new HD videoboards ready by this season. If you get on the webcam, you can actually zoom in and look at one of the signs and see their working on them.
As for the signs themselves, I’m sure they will at least re-paint them and give them a fresh, more modern look…I can’t imagine why they wouldn’t.
I carry a lighter around in my pocket wherever I go...I don't smoke, I just really like certain songs.

But along the lines of your post, the company doing the construction has a website with monthly progress reports… http://www.jcsca.org/Default.aspx?PageID=15 ….that takes you right to the page…they are PDF files with all sorts of financial info too but if you scroll down far enough you can get the good pics…There are some that are the insides of the stadium all torn up and so on. I loved having this so maybe at least one of you will enjoy this also.
The whole thing is so retro...
The Pitch folks thought the photos were retro. I thought the Arrowhead sign was retro. Others think it’s outdated, and I think so, too, but perfectly so. I find it charming. But I’ve always confused style with resisting most of what others call fashion.

Living out of town it’s nice to see how the old stadium is being updated. Man I love that stadium and have tons of great memories from it. Do any of you remember the old stadium that was downtown? It was fun going to see the hookers n bums hanging out around it. I remember my Dad paying a kid to watch his car so no one messed with it while we were at a game … he also told me to close my eyes when we went by a brothel .. of course I didn’t :P
