After the draft, Cardinals General Manager Rod Graves said the team received two firm trade offers for receiver Anquan Boldin. Graves declined to reveal either offer, but Bears GM Jerry Angelo told local reporters that he offered a second-round pick.
The Eagles also made an offer, according to an NFL source: a third-round pick and starting cornerback Sheldon Brown. The Cardinals quickly rejected it.

A trade and sign of Boldin
Would alleviate our little Salary cap “problem”

I think they would like it
if we offered them our 2nd and told them they could take which ever one ends up being the highest.

I would have taken
the 3rd and Sheldon Brown. However if he is looking for a new contract also, it wouldn’t make sense. He makes sense in KC; similar offense. out of the conference, money for new contract, etc. However it seems that AZ does not want to trade him and they are just going through the motions.

I don't think
KC is interested in paying him the $10m per year he wants. He’s a great player and I’d love to have him in KC, but he plays very physical & is getting up there in age…he’ll no doubt start declining in production soon. NE got Wes Welker for a 2nd round pick (and I believe Boldin was drafted in the 2nd as well). We can get a very good young player with that pick.

Really?
Boldin and Fitz were high draft picks. It’s not like they came out of nowhere.

10 million dollars = screw you Bowe
I don’t remember the exact figure of Bowe’s contract but I think it was in the neighborhood of 2 million a year. Do we really want to pay Boldin FIVE TIMES what Bowe is making?
That’s not a wise contract — that’s the first salvo in a financial arms race. Clearly the wrong direction.

I agree
If we’re confident we can pick up a premier wide receiver in next years draft, let’s sit with bowe and engram for now.
Man, I would like Boldin though…

Yeah, he's almost worth 10 million.
Almost.
