Morning Update (Intern Edition)

Kansas City Chiefs UDFA Taurus Johnson is interviewed a local FOX affiliate.

Geez there isn't really any news, is there? We'll be back later this morning talking about UDFA's salaries.

just thought I'd throw this in...

It’s from yesterday on Yahoo sports…I thought it was a pretty good detailed list of some FA’s that are still out there. (Sorry bout just copy and pasting, I’m not very computer savvy)

*sigh*
The NFL may add a second regular season game in London next year.

What is the NFL’s obsession with getting Europeans to like them??? Give up already.

Both sides

The NFLPA and the NFL, want a bigger slice of the pie. The easy solution is just to make the pie bigger.

Also, I’d like to see some numbers and/or reaction on the number of US military men and women attend these games overseas. I’ve heard that it’s a lot but that’s just anecdotal evidence. If this gives our troops a shot to see a game, then why not?

Jerseys

Likely aren’t authentic, because they’re not the “bat-wing” style of jersey cut worn on the field. These are most likely blank replica or “Premier” jerseys with tackle twill names & numbers sewn on. Either way, they look to be done extremely well, and they’re a great buy considering a screen-printed replica alone sells for, what, $75?

Hmm

They look better than the Korean fakes on fleabay. Not sure if what is pictured is what you get though, cause it looks like the Reebok symbol on front bottom right, but idk. I’d like to see them sell 2nd’s from the factory, who’d want a Dorsea or Kassel jersey??

On another note there needs to be a place to buy the merch that is printed and never used, like the AFC/NFC champion or Superbowl shirts/hats that have what turns out to be the wrong team winning. I just think it would be fun to have a Cardinals Superbowl champion shirts. Or something.

They usually donate that clothing.

Pretty schnazy idea. They donate the clothes/hats to third world countries or different organizations and then write it off on their taxes.

Site looks pretty shady to me.

Here’s a bad sign:

Notice at the top of the shopping cart/submit order page (where it’s asking for payment info) the site begins with “http://…” If this were a secure site, it would begin with “https://….” That would ensure you that you are submitting information over a secured server. It is highly recommend to NEVER give out personal info (PayPal accts, credit card numbers) over an unsecured server.

Also, if the jerseys are that cheap there is probably a reason.

absolutely true

always look for the https never never never submit personal info otherwise

this is like writing all your personal info and account numbers and posting copies on telephone poles

Free Agents Available~

One word comes to mind~ * Pass * ! I have been thinking maybe, just maybe we dont need any of the leftovers in FA~ and just need to concentrate on whom we got~ esp for the D side of the ball~!

I, for one, think that the picks from the last 4 years, will come to fruition this year, along with the current picks~ the addition of veterans ( vrable, thomas ) will pay immediate dividends and the CORRECT TEACHING of the current system will allow players such as DJ, Hali, McBride, Tank, who havent shown what we have hoped for yet, the ability to shine once and for all ( hopefully )!

The more I think about it, I like where we are on the D side of the ball, the O side is just my question mark of the scheme of things~ 3 wr sets spreading the field, with Taurus Johnson, Dwayne Bowe and Bobby Engram being those? Could be interesting to see Bradley mix in on that rotation~ If our line play is blocking for MC and LJ with above average results, our O could be just fine too~

JUST FINE? hell yeah when you figure just fine is another way of saying 500 ball, and with 500 ball in the AFC WEST~ thats a dayum good start for the new regime~

DO NOT DISRESPECT THE FAMILY I say in my best THE DON voice~

hey guys...

I’m the webmaster of that local Fox affiliate that ran the story…Fox 4. Taurus grew up just a few miles from the station and went to the local high school.

I was thrilled to see the Chiefs sign him as a UDFA. He’s a great kid, a great athlete…and a hard worker. The Chiefs got a quality kid with that signing. I hope he stays with the Chiefs for a long while.

Also, Jake O’Connell grew up 30 minutes south of here…and went to High School in SW Florida. Another great kid and good pickup for the boys in red and gold.

BTW…I’m also a lifelong Chiefs fan…and Dad is a season ticket holder since 1988. Go Chiefs!
