Many thanks to everyone who has participated so far in the second annual Arrowhead Pride Community Mock Draft. This year finished without one hitch, which is something I guarantee very many team blogs can say happened. We averaged a 55% approval rating, which is pretty good IMO. Most people made sound arguments for why they chose who they did.
Round two begins tomorrow with the Lions pick by UCrawford, who has judiciously sent me his pick already. The round two schedule is here so make sure you check it out.
We didn't really have a wrap up post about last year's mock draft so I wanted to make sure we did it this year. Use this post to discuss the first round.

were we going to update this with the Broncos-Bears trade?
just curious what you all think the broncos will do now
Well, no and here's why
We’re trying to go back and re-do picks for Mocking the Draft’s SB Nation mock draft and it is turning out be a HUGE headache.

Plus
We weren’t really going for realism anyway. Just to learn about a lot of the top prospects.

I'm pretty sure they kinda did that already
trading away a franchise-type QB is always hurtful to your team
I always suspected the Donkeys were dumb
but I didn’t think they were THAT retarted =)
Marley will be walking soon...she could probably play Linebacker better than some of the guys we had.
Just to bring in an outside perspective
As a Broncos fan, I can assure you few people will miss him. Trading him wasn’t foolish; keeping him even though he didn’t want to play for us would have been. Until he can stop his whining and temper his enormous ego, he’ll never be the franchise QB that everyone thinks he is. Getting two 1st-round picks and one 3rd-rounder for him is about as great of a return as Denver could hope for.
Similar to how you feel about Cincinnati trading Chad Johnson for those two alleged 1st-round picks last year (http://www.arrowheadpride.com/2009/4/6/824284/morning-update-clean-slate-edition#13747587), Denver would have been stupid to pass up the Chicago deal.
We’re just as happy to see Cutler go as you fine KC folks are. For once, we see eye-to-eye.
Great Thing About This Mock Draft
is that it is like the real draft in that 32 people pick for 32 teams. not one guy picking for every team like most the mock’s out there.
Beat the Donkeys!!
Agreed
And I like the case each unique perspective makes for the player. A few picks definitely made me change the way I view certain prospects.

I know what you mean...
I was not a Tyson Jackson fan till I started digging on the pick for San Diego. If it worked where we dropped to where we could draft Jackson I would have no problem with that.
Ask yourself this
what type of doucher forgets to do a poll? I mean, really? ; ^ )
