Instead, the Chargers recovered the kick and scored to beat Kansas City. The Broncos would gag away the division and miss the playoffs.

Temperature started at 60 degrees in the parking lot at 9AM and dropped to 25 degrees by 11AM. All the tailgaters disappeared it was like a nuclear bomb went off in the parking lot at Arrowhead. I had a T-shirt on and spent way to much money in the gift shop for cold weather gear. It was a sign of what was going to happen later on in the afternoon. The Chiefs blowing a sure thing.

Recovering onside kicks isn’t exactly easy, letting the opposition offense walk all over your defense in less than a minute on the other hand…

seriously. The Broncos franchise screwing up royally and losing its franchise QB all started with one play in Kansas City that didn’t even involve the Broncos? Maybe the beginning of the article should focus more on the fact that the Broncos couldn’t manage to hold a three game lead with three games remaining, one of which was against the team you were ahead of.
