I was reading the list of free agents still available top remaining free agents and saw Jon Runyans name. I'm of the opinion he would be a nice one year stop gap for us at RT. We all know SacIntosh sucks.
Some people have suggested Richardson is the eire apparent, but I'm concerned that if he couldn't get on the field during last years "youth movement" he might play like a 6th round player. This year we drafted Colin Brown in the 5th round, but how likely is that he will be able to step in and play this year?
Cap space isn't an issue for us this year (31.6 million available), so why not pick up a vetern like Runyan to hold down the fort for a year? Plus he could coach our youngsters (Richardson and Brown) on what it takes to make it in the NFL (something MacIntosh can't do). What do you think?
