Chiefs sign UDFA LB Corey Smith

They did call back, however, and it was Kansas City Chiefs Director of Pro Personnel Ray Farmer to ask questions of Smith assuming that his agents at Metro Sports Agency had already told him the good news — that the Chiefs wanted to sign Smith to a two-year deal and bring him into camp as a free agent. So Ray Farmer survived the personnel purge. That makes three linebackers we've signed/invited to rookie camp after the draft. We're tracking all of the Chiefs' UDFAs here. -Chris
