We didn't have enough picks to upgrade everything.
We were wise to get a couple of veteran stopgap players for the next year or two. My guess is we address LB a lot next year unless some young guys really step up this year.

It’s a shame we couldn’t grab him, and San Diego did. He would be excellent depth as an outside Linebacker. Just look at his last 6 games as a senior. 9 sacks, 52 tackles, and an interception. He seemed to be able to turn the corner on OTs at will when he lined up with his hand on the ground.
Naturally, I'm biased, but I wholeheartedly agree.
At the end of the season, he proved to be a potentially REALLY dangerous rush 3-4 OLB.
I would have loved to just get him in camp and see what happens. But, whatever. Don’t be surprised to see him make San Diego’s roster.
